Who Will Be The First NHL Draft Pick Of The Utah Hockey Club?

our next one comes from uh a podcast favorite Bill Armstrong’s burner and uh Bill Armstrong of course the GM of the now Utah Hockey Club and he’s asking who are we taking at six and just to be clear I don’t think this is really Bill uh but uh but either way uh just want to make sure uh don’t want to have uh any any troubles with the new Utah Club um I think for for the for Utah they have a lot of options and I think you know you look back to the last year I just mentioned you know if if let’s say demov is there at six I don’t necessarily think that that’s a pick they’re going to make it gives them you know now three potential you know what are we going to get out of our our Russian players you know like that that creates a little bit of mystery I think that what will be available there at six will be more palatable I think they can go defense I think they can go forward um you know I think uh on the last mock draft you know putting putting Beck at senica with them um is something that you know I think is is absolutely possible senica is on the rise he is a guy that that a lot of teams like um that that teams are are fascinated by and believe that he can be a top pick and and and a contributor in the near future and he’s you know almost six foot three he’s got high skill he’s a scorer had a great second half you know put a lot together and you know I think that that’s that’s an option for them um you know I don’t think it I wouldn’t put it past him and say hey like we like TJ ginla we like the way that he plays we like the the what he can bring to the table um I think any of the defensemen you look at Sam Dickinson you look at Carter yakimchuk you look at z buam um you know what who is a guy that’s going to move the needle for them on the back end you know I like Dimitri simachev who they picked last year um you know I think that he’s going to be more capable on the defensive side of things uh do you try to go after that that that power play quarterback so I think Z buam is absolutely an option for them as well um yes he’s not as big as some of the other defenseman but at six foot with the puck moving capabilities that he has you know he could really move the needle for that team um in a way that that few others can so I think that zeve is absolutely in the mix uh for that team um so I’m giving you a lot of different options you’ll have to stay tuned for my final mock draft which will be coming out soon uh as I narrow things down and try to find out what exactly we are going to see uh uh from the Utah Hockey Club next week
