JONATHAN HUBERDEAU MAKES SOME EMBARRASSING COMMENTS ON THE FLORIDA PANTHERS STANLEY CUP WIN…
[Music] gosh man while it is true that I’m a Vancouver conu fan and all of these Calgary flame stories can get pretty funny at this point I’m starting to feel kind of I don’t know kind of bad like I feel pity in this situation this is not a good thing at least that’s my immediate reaction upon reading these quotes and seeing this article because today what we’re doing is we’re talking about arguably the most overpaid superstar in the NHL no we’re not talking about Mitch Marner at least that guy gets 90 points a year today we are talking about Jonathan huberto of the Calgary Flames recently acquired in a trade for Matthew kachuck and a player whose contract is at 10.5 million a year he’s making this money till 2031 where he will be uh what’s the math on that he’s 31 right now 20 31s in seven years he’ll be 38 years old my goodness Jonathan hubero this most previous season had 52 points in 81 games played a far cry from the 115 Point Season he had with Florida in 2021 2022 in that season he was second in AR Ross scoring behind Conor McDavid and tied with Johnny goodro and he actually had the better points per game than goodro to huberto heading over to Calgary was seen as some sort of a lateral move Point production wise but he just has not shown off well in comparison to his Florida Panthers days he had a 90o season with Florida in 201819 as well so he’s always been in that top-of-the-line Point per game plus territory with the cats ever since the 2020s began pretty much but in Calgary with back-to-back 50o seasons in pretty much full seasons worth of play you can definitely understand that Jonathan huberto and the dollar amount that he’s making it doesn’t fit he’s overpaid and the crazy part is the Florida Panthers were a team that two seasons after losing out on Jonathan hubero firstly they end up going to the Stanley Cup finals with Matthew kachak secondly they end up going to the Stanley Cup finals again and they end up winning the gosh darn thing sure they almost blew a three- nothing lead and lost in seven games but they still ended up winning and they did so all without the services of Jonathan hubero let’s go out there onto less.com Le franois goes out there and talks about some comments hubero made about that Florida Panthers Stanley Cup Championship it’s hard to see the guys lift the cup let’s go out there and read what this article has to say it’s in French I translated it to English via the Google machine link is in the description if you want to go ahead and read the thing yourself the article takes its time in setting the scene here we are at the Jonathan hubero golf tournament Monday morning no one arrives here with a downcast expression as is always the case with these events Michelle tyon appears in the distance with a big smile Marie a deir deploys her usual energy a sharp clap ech goes through the air it’s yaka pel giving an old buddy one of the best handshakes in the history of handshakes Jonathan hubero takes a quarter of an hour to sit down with lepress in a quiet corner of the Chalet Terrace he too is smiling although he knows he could have welcomed the visit in a much more festive contest his former team the one with which he planted trees until 2022 the Florida Panthers is now the Stanley Cup champion I’m so happy for the guys they worked hard barkov I’ve been with him for years he works so hard eblad Reinhardt to huberto lists it’s tough to see the guys lift the cup you think I was there for 10 years during tough times but that’s how you build a team when you’re young you don’t care you just want to build your career now I’m back in that situation but I’m a little bit older the article then writes this that’s where it hurts though is that Jonathan hubero was old enough to be a major contributor to this championship team but he and Mackenzie weager were deemed to be traded for Matthew kachuk in order to change the Panther’s identity kachuck did contribute to that change with 197 points in two seasons and plenty of grit to spare kachuck arrived in Florida and yeah he’s good but he’s well surrounded they have talent you see Bill Zito was good at getting guys like oel and kulakov who weren’t doing as well elsewhere and a good coach like Paul Maurice it shows I thought they were going to win the article then talks about how the Calgary Flames have been making their own changes they traded away lindol they traded away mapani they traded away hannahan tanv zadorov they traded away markstrom a whole bunch of guys are gone huo could have gone there but with his production down and a contract still valid until 2031 he is still stuck in Alberta I’m definitely hard to trade huberto says I knew that when I signed the contract but I didn’t know how it was going to go I thought I was going to produce points that it would go well but the more defensive game system didn’t help I know I’m worth the contract several factors didn’t help me and it’s up to me to get out of it oh dear okay before we continue on with this article do you not see what I’m getting at here like I don’t know it’s fun to dunk on the Calgary Flames as a Vancouver KX fan it’s fun to dunk on the guys who are not living up to their contracts but at this point Jonathan huberto is saying yeah it’s tough to see the guys that I was playing with for so long it’s tough to see me leave and for them to immediately exhibit success right away it’s hard to see them lift the Stanley Cup even though I’m happy for them it hurts and then he goes out there and says yeah I know I’m very difficult to trade I knew that when I signed I thought I was was going to produce points but the more defensive system in this organization is not helping my production at the end of the day he does say that he is accountable for his own performance and it’s up to him to help get himself out of it but to even have just the underlying tone of disappointment there not just within himself but within the environment that right there I don’t know man I kind of pity the guy at this point it seems like there are a lot of Calgary Flames fans that are also going out there with similar ideas because hubero and this entire article was posted onto the RF flame sub it’s hard to see the guys lift the cup and some of the comments are pretty interesting funny story Jonathan I wish you were still there to lift it with them lifted here then 82 games then 16 wins if he was playing well in Calgary that statement would mean something minus 29 last season and less points overall than his first season in Calgary prove it Jonathan huberto there are no excuses left yep 107 points in 160 games in Calgary following 115 points in 80 games in his last year in Florida his failures are a large part of why the Flames are where they are yeah he’s single-handedly sent this Calgary team into a rebuild thought Jacob markstrom was the biggest culprit of the 2223 season but he rebounded in a big way and yet the flame still ended up being terrible so it looks like a sword falls on hubero and he’s been the one constantly bad player over the last couple of Seasons this is where we get into a more sympathetic point of view notorio G says I do feel for the guy he was Florida’s all-time leading scorer until he left and very quickly became an afterthought even while he was there he was always undervalued and overshadowed by barov that said be a pro stop sulking either demand a trade or own where you are and if you don’t want to rebuild then be a $10.5 million player and drag your team into the gosh darn playoffs and then there are some other replies there’s no way the Flames would be able to trade that contract it cost them a first round pick to move Monahan so this is where you talk about the potential you know the inevitability of how everything is coming and going in Calgary let’s go back over onto the article huberto does say at the age we are at that’s where it’s harder but there are surprises we can get into the playoffs even if everyone sees us as The Underdogs it’s never fun to be in a rebuild when you’re young you can learn gain maturity you have time but at 31 you want to win and you want to win there it’s harder to swallow but you have to accept your role 100% so at the end of the day let me know your thoughts in the comments section below about Jonathan hubero and how this is uh do I want to say it’s embarrassing it kind of is it’s a little bit embarrassing I kind of pity the guy honestly but I don’t know how I’m going to go out there and title this this is going to be weird you don’t ever see something like this right where a former extremely high valued asset of a team that wins the Stanley Cup but is no longer on that team comes out of the shadows in the offseason and says oh yeah it’s tough you know I’m very happy for the guys but it’s difficult to see them win without me like ha I know that’s not what he said directly but that’s kind of the message you know that’s the Vibes that we’re getting out of this so let me know your thoughts in the comments section below if you’re a Calgary Flames fan how do you feel about Jonathan hubero and his progression the past few years into the player that he is today is it acceptable is it not is it possible to trade him he says it’s not let me know your thoughts in the comment section below I hope you enjoyed this trolls 99 and bye [Music] [Music]

As a flames fan at this point I wish I could go back in time and trade with St. Louis or someone at this point I’d prefer kyrou or necas at this point for huberdeau
He got his big contract. Florida got their cup. Everyone is happy.
Too bad what happened, but just to play devils advocate here, you can bet that Treliving buttered JH up with talk of still aiming to build a wnnining team, to get him to sign with the Flames, as would any other GM given the season he had with Florida. Now hes in a rebuild, nearing the twilight of his productive years, with nowhere to go because of his contract.
Tough spot, to say the least
Stop saying “gosh darn ..etc.”
He was just being honest. I see nothing embarrassing about it. Would you prefer he didn’t speak honestly about how he felt and gave canned responses? He said the defensive system didn’t help him but it’s still on him to adjust.
Huberdeau; What can I say, my contract sucks. and so does my play.
Lego, there is nothing wrong with being honest which was what he was doing. This topic/video was a reach
I think Calgary could trade him, but they are retaining salary and taking some back. I think Huberdeau is still an elite player, but like when Montgomery coached Dallas and tanked Benn's stats, a bad coach can destroy a great player.
he blamed sutter the first year he was there and was called out in a tv interview , in the dressing room for all to hear , blake coleman has a great interview about treliving and why matt and johnny left, dont forget the defence on that calgary team like tanev , the new best dman in toronto history
"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."
Come let us reason together. Why did Reinhart suddenly put together a super starish year with 57 goals? Why did former #11 with the Panthers put up impressive offensive numbers his last few seasons there? Might the answer to both questions rhyme with: Alexander Barkov?
You gotta give the man credit for being honest.
Can't fault him for the contract the team offered him. His play? Sure.
The man is just just being honest about his feelings. He is staring at the sand leaving the top of the glass in his NHL career and sees the surrounding talent disappear around him.
He's a good guy and fans just don't have sympathy. Hopefully the flames get some decent young talent for him. Ironically from the flames perspective his best points totals were playing with Sam Bennett as his center.
Sounds like this person,is not looking in the mirror!I have very little respect for him!Hey,Jonathon, quit bashing the coaches, the system, just bash yourself, you ego maniac!10,miilion,a year,as a Blackhawk fan I thought Seth Jones, stole the farm!Stay away from Chicago,we have enough problems,we sure as hell don’t need you!
Huberdud made his bed,he wasn't invested in putting in the effort to win. His reaction after the panthers got swept by Tampa got him booted from the panthers.
Why is it embarassing? Huberdeau made classy comments.
I don’t know why he’s upset about the rebuild, his contract has 7 more years on it, he’ll be here when we’re good again LOL!
nothing embarrassing, this video is much more embarrassing lol
