all right what’s Happ y it’s your Bo R from Street scores and we have two major topics to break down today first of all the Washington commanders are bringing back the gold pants for the uniforms I know a lot of y’all are excited we’re going to do a deep dive into that as deep as we can do when it comes to just talking about new pants well old new pants and then also we have some big jayen Daniels hype I mean his hype exploded the past couple of days we’re going to talk about where all of that is coming from from K Adams to some people comparing them to CJ stoud again all also we have a picture of Jaden Daniels where it looks like he’s truly bulking up that boy has been putting in that work over the summer we’re going to talk about all of that in more but before we do make sure you officially announced what the commanders have announced that they will be bringing back the gold pants and it’s crazy too because at 11:25 a.m. before they announced that they were bringing back the gold pants the Washington Commander’s official Twitter account tweeted it may be our birthday but we’re giving you guys a gift instead so people were trying to figure out what that could potentially mean people of course in the comments section were’re saying bring out the the Dan Quinn shirt with the w with the feather on it all kinds of things like that that’s what people were hoping for maybe some old school helmets stuff like that but ended up being the gold pants and just to let you know when they say it’s our birthday it is the 92nd birthday of the Washington commanders that’s why they chose to announce it today and it’s basically them paying homage to the burgundy and gold history by bringing back the gold pants and hey shouts out to Josh Harris man cuz you can tell these list name we’re going to dive into that and also just to let you know the last time we were gold pants was back in 2018 it was week 17 versus the Eagles that was the last time we’ve worn gold pants it doesn’t feel like it was that long that’s actually pretty crazy and shouts out to San 48 because he brings up a great Point as well the commanders are bringing back the gold pants and it’s not the old name nor the old logo but for fans upset about the many changes since summer 2020 it’s a small step back towards WS the old look some people that may have given up on this franchise because of the all of the changes name Chang and all that type of stuff this is not going to necessarily win back all of them but it may win back a few of them so shouts out to Josh Harris for making this move also shouts out to Nicki javala for bringing up this point about the commander ownership group bringing back the gold uniform pants she said quote they do understand history and I feel like a lot of history was lost between 2020 to 2022 unquote which is why a lot of fans kind of abandoned ship some went to the Ravens some people just decided to just boycott football until the commanders basically got their stuff together and so I’m really excited to see what else they may have planned and in store for us because this may not be the end of it this may just be one one way where they kind of pay homage to the Past maybe they’ll find other ways to do it but again shouts out to Josh Harrison company for keeping their ears to the streets basically and you basically hearing what everybody’s talking about and what do they want let’s make sure we provide that to them we acknowledge the fact that even though it wasn’t our fault the previous regime lost a lot of the fans and it’s our job to come here and win them back and even something as small as bringing back gold pants hey man it’s just at least a small gesture to show the fans that maybe this isn’t everything that you lost but at least it shows hey we care we’re listening shouts out to Josh sharers and Company for that man and also I do want to point out the fact that some people definitely cared way too much about the uniforms really about the brand in general but as a person is just like I mean I like the uniforms how they are like how different they are and things like that I was excited about something new do I necessarily prefer these Uniforms over the old ones I kind of don’t really care I just care I just want to win that’s all that really matters to me and I do feel like a lot of people care way too much but sh out to Josh Harrison those guys for making sure that at least some people got what they wanted in returning the gold pants I’ve seen mixed reviews I’ve seen some people say yeah I prefer the white I’ve seen some people say prefer they prefer the gold I mean aesthetically I probably lean more towards the white pants but I can see like it’s kind of like a old school feeling to it I I kind of like the gold pants idea as well and it seems like they’re not getting rid of the white pants they’re just going to flip in and out sometimes it may be white pants sometimes it may be gold pants maybe even still still sometimes the burgundy pants we’ll see so I’m really excited in seeing how that’s going to go and also like John Comm said I completely agree he said on Twitter an easy initial fix has always been a return to the old look and this is a start but no matter what a return to more W’s matters most it’s been a minute I completely agree like I said man the uniforms I mean I kind of care a little bit but at the end of the day man I prefer to win and our uniforms be trash than for our uniforms to be the best in the NFL and we keep losing the way we’ve been doing pretty much my entire life for watching the the bergundy and gold again I wasn’t allowed to see any of the sub Bowl I wasn’t born yet for any of the Super Bowls so I haven’t really seen the bergundy and go on top ever and I mean I’m just starving for some wins right now uniforms looking the way that I would prefer like if I had the chance they came up to me and asked me how do you want to do the uniforms that would be great and all but I would I would literally just hand them that paper and pin back and be like can you just put more effort and time into winning for me please I just do not care that much at all but this is interesting this is something notable to point out Washington’s gold pants that they revealed today do not have a stripe while the old ones did I feel like that’s something maybe some people did not notice and that’s probably because the stripe would not match the current jerseys like you put a stripe on those gold pants the way that our up the upper part of our jerseys look with the the the actual Jersey and the helmet and things like that it’s probably not going to look good I’m not going to lie just a quick little historical breakdown the gold pants were like a staple of the team’s uniforms since it moved from Boston to DC in 1937 and the franchise wore gold pants for nearly four decades before moving away from them after the 1978 season and then they saved it for a few special occasions in 1994 and the early 2000s now it seems like they may actually have it in a heavier rotation than they’ve had it since the late 70s which is actually pretty interesting it wasn’t until 2010 at the start of the Mike Shanahan era that the franchise reintroduced the gold pants as part of its primary uniform so just the interesting background information on how often we’ve even worn the gold pants and things like that just let you know the last time the team sported its gold pants again was in 201 2018 the season finale when the Washington took a 24 to Zer loss I mean absolute just drugged by the Philadelphia Eagles at FedEx field and Landover Maryland remember it’s no longer called FedEx field just to remind you it is just the commander field I believe or something like that and only and just to let you know only four players that were on that team are still currently here that’s Tres way Jonathan Allen Devon Payne and jamson Crowder that’s it those are the only four players that were there the last time we were gold pants everybody else here completely new which is kind of like a good thing because we were bad and I mean when you’re bad you need to clean house but it’s also just an indication of how bad we’ve been that if you just go back to 2018 I don’t think a lot of teams out there only have four players back from 2018 like that I mean that’s a lot of change I mean but then again we went through a ridiculous amount of change just this one offseason alone also shouts out to the grid iron uniform database because the Washington commanders are apparently 100 30 114 with three ties in the gold pants since 1969 so we technically have a winning record with the gold pants but eh yeah it’s not like that impressive it’s nothing very notable so if you’re a superstitious person I mean it’s not really much to take from that I mean that’s pretty much average it is a winning record which we can’t necessarily say over the course of like the commanders 10 years since the last time we won a Super Bowl so I guess we do slightly win more in the gold pants than the other pants but it’s not like a noticeable difference again just go out there and win man and then also before we stop talking about these gold pants I want y’all to look at these pictures right here with Jeremy chin and Bobby Wagner and what is the first thing that you notice for me the gold visor I think that is hard like the gold visor is like burgundy depending on how you look at it I absolutely love visor man it started since I was a little kid I was like in what maybe second third grade leanian Thomson doing his thing and that’s why I really liked watching him and using him and maddening things like that he had that black visor I’m really loving the visor that Jeremy chin and Bobby Wagner have in these pictures I’m hoping that they wear them actually in games because that’s automatically going to have them Skyrocket on my list of favorite players on this team the visor automatically raises you a certain amount of Rico points just from I mean I mean it’s just a certain way a certain look a certain mentality that comes with it I love the visors especially how creative these are where it’s gold or burgundy depending on how you’re looking at it so I love that I care about the visors more than not care about the actual gold pants I’m not even going to lie to you and also before we move on from this also it seems like the commanders have been polling about a new name in Stadium on top of everything else with the gold pants and uniforms and things like that there’s also some other things going on this came out from Tom Sherwood he tweeted New Washington commanders circulating an Insider fan poll that shows 63% want a name change 55% want to return to the RFK site and no other site was preferred by more than 14% of respondents so it seems like RFK is the dominant favorite to be the next Stadium amongst the burgundy and gold fans it’s not to say that it’s going to happen or anything like that but that’s just what fans want now when it comes to surveys like these my first thought is who was asked this I mean I’m not saying that they’re wrong I I just really don’t have much of a say in it because I’m from Atlanta no matter what I’m might have to fly there anyway so whether I have to fly to Maryland or DC I don’t really have much of a preference the only preference I really have is that we are somewhere to where we can build like a whole nice area around it like we have the battery in Atlanta over there in Cobb County where the new Brave stadium moved to and it’s like a whole Mini City around it shops entertainment everything that you can do I would hope it’s something like that but you know with me not being a local DMV guy I don’t feel like I even deserve to have much of a say so I’m glad they didn’t ask me but I always wonder like who did they ask like I every time these surveys come out I can’t find anybody that was asked I’m like how accurate are these surveys but either way I feel like most people wanting it going back to the RFK site makes a lot of sense I feel like that’s what the majority of people want maybe not all people but the majority and then I was actually pretty intrigued by the fact that apparently 63% of fans want the name changed I’m not exactly sure how accurate that is as far as having a post on the entire fan base but I thought that was interesting I’m kind of chilling just like the uniforms the name I I mean it is what it is there’s worse names out there like I I can’t believe that people always love to talk about especially when we first changed it how bad the Commander’s name was and all the type of stuff and you have teams out there like the Houston Texans like they ain’t even try the Houston Texans do we not care about how bland that is like just no effort at all at least we came up with like a a name that you can attach like a logo to I mean they could have just called them the Houston Bulls if they were just going to do that but either way I mean there’s other bad names out there I feel like with names overtime especially once you attach winning to that name nobody cares anymore after a while so I don’t personally care but that was the last thing I wanted to talk about as far as the team branding now let’s dive into the Jaden Daniels hype well first up you have K Adams and her up in Adam show and she literally tweeted this herself Jaden DS is ready to take full command of this Washington offense but what are the realistic expectations for the rookie quarterback and she has an entire 2 minutes and 28 seconds dedicated to talking about jadden Daniels and what he could be probably one of the most not and make sure you go check out that clip yourself but one of the most not quotes that she said was quote it all hinges on the shoulders of Jaden if he has it this team is going to be in the NFC playoff mix unquote so she feels like the team around him is good enough she feels like that he has the potential to be good enough and if he is on point this team could have I guess what you could call somewhat of like a CJ shroud last year 2023 and what he brought to the Houston Texans propelling them to winning the division and making the playoffs and even winning the playoff games now she didn’t NE neily go that far to compare him to CJ’s trial but she did say that he could come in and have an immediate impact as a rookie and we can make the playoffs and be firmly in the playoff mix if he’s on point she feels like not only Jayden Daniels is good enough but I want to emphasize that it doesn’t matter how great Jayden Daniels is if the team around them is not ready so she must also have a little bit of faith in what this team looks like around Jaden damel as well I mean honestly my only concern is left tackle right now everything else I’m pretty like okay we should be able to match up pretty well with people I love the vers ility on the defensive side of the ball especially in the safety group and things like that you know outside corner we’ll see um of course with the wide receiver group we got to see what the depth is looking like and then when it comes to left tackle those are really my only three concerns everything else I’m like let’s go let’s go win some games let’s try to make the playoffs this year I’m not expecting us to make the playoffs I’m not putting the weight of that shoulders I mean all of this transition that we’ve made the front office the coaching staff the even like a little bit of ownership and then the players as well I mean this is the most turn over that you can possibly have without being like an entirely new team like an like an expansion team like we’re as different as you can be going from one season to the next without just being a completely new team that got inserted into the NFL so I mean we we can’t place expectations on this team we’re really just only looking for progress and we’re kind of gambling with house money if we make the playoffs then it’s like well I mean woo we type of thing it’s not like we expected it but we’ll be happy and we’ll hope for it but I’m really excited I think jayen d does have a lot of great in him I’m just interested in seeing how quickly we can get that out of him especially early on I mean with our left tackle situation it’s going to be a little bumpy in the beginning because some of our toughest opponents are in the beginning of the schedule especially travel-wise like we play some really far away games but after that we have like the least travel schedule I believe in the NFL after like the first four weeks but moving on speaking of jadden D because this is about him there was also a tweet from at NFL rookie watch they tweeted Jaden DS could reportedly have a seizure stra like effect on the commanders according to many NFL coaches this is coming from coaches themselves around the NFL not commanders coaches not random scouts or NFL reporters or analysts that you see on TV these are coming from coaches around the NFL not in the commander organization they tweet continues on to say multiple NFL teams are reportedly scared to death of about what Jayden DS could become with the commanders we talked about that a few like a week ago week or two ago and then some NFL Scouts reportedly believe Daniels could quickly have the commanders at top the NFC East so let’s stop there apparently some people feel like some Scouts around the NFL like jayen Daniels so much that they feel like we can pull a CJ stra and not only potentially make the playoffs but also win the division at top the NFC East take over and and replace the Eagles and the Cowboys as the dominant team in the NFC East now granted we haven’t had an NFC East back-to-back division winner in a very long time and some people feel like that hey maybe we can get one off this year and then we can come right back and be a dynasty start to get the dynasty started and win back to back apparently in the NFC e some people believe in us that much and even as a commanders fan as a commanders content creator I’m not necessarily sure that I’m ready to put in that much stock to assume that we’re going to win the division on top on top of even just making the playoffs on top of even just improving from four wins last year winning the division pretty far-fetched but again this is coming from NFL Scouts and n coaches that are not in the commander organization from the outside looking in I don’t know what they’ve seen maybe they’ve watched enough Jaden Daniels tape maybe they’ve seen and heard enough from what he’s been doing in offseason practices so far maybe they love our roster that’s around jadden danels enough like K Adams I don’t know but apparently some people are really sold on the whole Jaden Daniels hype they truly believe in it I I’m I hope for it I I really want this to happen but do I expect it to happen not necessarily but people are really beli in the hype and I know maybe some of y’all missed it but Jaden Daniels was quizzed during the hard KN um Giants episode they’re doing like the Hard Knocks for the New York Giants and things like that and jayen DS came up in it because they were doing like the combine interviews and it show and I don’t know why I didn’t expect the combine interviews to be in such a nice location with the windows to where you can still see the field and everything like that I don’t know why I didn’t expect that but Brian debal was quizzing Jaden Daniels during his combine interview and was like trying to run him through some plays make things difficult on purpose and things like that and I thought it was really interesting because Brian dbal at one point asked what do you want to do if his cover one at first he asked them like okay X is a nose I’m going give you this play you need to hurry up and read it back to me change the X to the Z stuff like that like all kinds of complicated stuff literally just throw him off his game and then at the end of it he literally asked him so what do you do if it’s cover one and of course most people are thinking well schematically you know if if it’s cover one it’s only one safety single high so maybe I’mma I’mma look him off to the left and then throw it to the receiver running deep down the field to the right try to throw it on his outside shoulder maybe after I hitch it one time like a three-step or a five step drop whatever you know break it down schematically like that but after Brian deall asked him what do you do if it’s cover one jayen Daniels simply said throw a touchdown and not only did Brian dbal say he liked that answer in the clip I love that answer I mean you know how nervous or I wouldn’t even say stuck up but how stiff some people will be just in interviews period we all have been there done that in interviews for whatever job you’re doing and I know these quarterbacks I mean it’s a difference in making millions of dollars depending on where you’re drafted and what situation you go to your preferred situation your preferred team and things like that there’s a lot on the line and for him to be that loose to give like a very charismatic answer like that I love it like that just shows that no moment is too big for him he’s a very laidback calm not too much pressure type but guy he’s chilling I mean to have an answer like throw a touchdown to give like a funny answer like that instead of like super diving into all right man I got to give the perfect answer so that my draft stock can rise as high as possible I’m trying to feed my family and things like that for him to just calmly and be like man throw a touchdown like duh type of thing I love that that shows a lot of Personality there and I just want to remind y’all that Greg zerline kicking that gamewinner against us from when we play the New York Jets is why we have jayen Daniels in the first place also before we get up out of here Jayden D was nominated as the 2024 SEC male athlete so hopefully he wins that we already know he’s up for espb for best college athlete of the 2023 season we got to hope he wins that remember to go vote for that I’m not sure if the Voting is still open cuz I talked about that like a week or two ago but maybe it still is so this man is nominated for a lot of things this is a very popular guy right now and it seems like he’s the type of guy that’s not letting it get to his head he’s fully into the Playbook working wherever he can I already did a full breakdown of like where all of the rookies have been all of the veterans have been so far in this summer break in between mandatory mini camp and leading up the training camp which starts I think rookies report July 19th and I gave y’all an update of where everybody’s been I’ve shown y’all Clips I showed y’all photos and things like that and Jaden D seemed to be one of the hardest working people not only on the commanders but just in the NFL I mean this guy’s like wherever I can work whenever I can work I’m going to be there when the commanders and a lot of the offensive players were working together in Oregon of course he was there but then there were even times he was with like high school recruits like one running back that’s going to BYU a three star like wherever he can get work he’s going to get it he was throwing passes to a mon ra St Brown of the Detroit Lions who’s just coming off of a sign of a big time wide receiver contract he’s literally like wherever I can get work I’mma get it he’s been working with college kids high school kids and so you could tell that he’s not letting all of this Fame and popularity get to his head all these interviews he’s had he’s like he’s ready to work remember when we first drafted him and he got on the team plan to go to to go back to Cali with his friends and and family all in the plane with him he was already simulating doing snaps and things like that on the team play instead of relaxing celebrating eating chilling celebrating with his family and things like that he was already simulating a snap and like doing all of the call outs doing all of that type of stuff this guy has his head on straight and I love it but then also speaking of a guy being focused and determined look at this picture right here this guy is not playing man I ain’t going to lie he’s starting to bulk up I’m not exactly sure how much he weighs right now but he’s definitely bulked up a little bit since we’ve been seeing him even since just mandatory mini camp it seems like he’s added more way but especially like going through the draft process when we saw him at the combine when we saw him at his pro day and things like that his arms are definitely bigger since then so I’m very excited to see how great he’s going to be for us in his rookie season I hope he can come on and explode onto the scene immediately week one but we got to Tamper our expectations but we can still hope just because we don’t necessarily have to to expect him to be great we could definitely still hope for him to be great and I’m really excited about having a new franchise quarterback a new head coach new GM new owner knew everything this is going to be great man I’m very optimistic about our future it may not all click year one but I really expect us to be Super Bowl contenders probably sooner than a lot of people think and jayen Daniels as you can see on the screen right now will be the face of us being the Super Bowl contenders if he’s
