what even is this article three cut candidates on the Bengals roster ahead of training camp so this kind of is confusing how it’s worded but what they mean is that these three players could be cut before the 53 man roster they don’t mean literally cut before training camp happens because that my friends would be very stupid if these guy three guys got cut in the next two weeks because that wouldn’t make logical sense so they don’t go in detail in this article whether or not that that’s what they mean but I’m going to use the fact that this is clutch points who posted this article and clutch points knows what they’re doing to some degree and I’m going to assume that they mean before training camp oh sorry before the regular season starts so these are three players the insense won’t make the 53 man roster and have a greater chance of being cut than other players on the roster so let’s talk about it starting off right away he’s right here in the image and that is Chris Evans Bengals Chris Evans trying to find an opening and to be honest I don’t think he’ll be cut I know that’s crazy to say but knowing the Bengals and how they operate trayon Williams and Chris Evans will both make the active roster trayon makes sense cuz he’s the third string running back also of course he makes sense because he’s also really go on special teams Chris Evans not as much does he make sense to keep but at the same time like I said before they like him I mean they really like him they see something in him they think that he has a chance to become really good one day or may be utilized in some way he knows the system he was a sixr draft pick for the Bengals in 2021 and he always makes the active roster seems like we always carry four running backs for that said reason now if we picked up a running back in free agency or after the 53 man roster Cuts yes it’s very possible we could go ahead and get rid of Chris Evans but I don’t know I mean again looking at the tendencies All We can go off of is Tendencies of what the Bengals have done in the past I don’t think Chris Evans gets cut I think he does end up making the 53 man roster is it possible that Noah Kane or Elijah Collins play so much better and they get the active spot over him yes in a logical World absolutely in a Bengals World probably not I don’t know I I Chris Evans trivan Williams these are the two guys that last year we thought the potential we could cut one of the two not both of them obviously but one in the two we didn’t we kept both of them we kept four running backs into the season I don’t think he’s going to get cut I think he’ll stay on the active roster and I think he’ll make the 53 man roster then the second guy is Tanner mlin this one wouldn’t make sense well here’s what I’ll say right for the fact that he’s a late round draft pick we draft him at a position that we do have a lot of different you know bodies at this point but you also got to keep in mind drew SLE is pretty much a glorified fullback Tanner Hudson is our tight end number two Mike Kiki is going to be our slot receiver in sense because it’s what he played last year so in reality this we really have tan Hudson Eric all and Tanana mlin and cam Grandy these are our starting tight ends that’s a slot receiver that’s going to be a fullback and these are our tight ends now does it make sense if he does get cut yes because the fact you had cut down to the 53 M monster is just how it works but I feel like they like tanam MC Laughlin and I think he has a lot of upside that they’re not going to cut him I think he will make the 53 man roster the more I’m hearing about him the more that people are talking about him the more game tape I’m seeing from him in college he was a very good vertical threat tight end guy can get really good Separation on a lot of different Defenders and he’s kind of the guy that stretches the field and that’s exactly what you know we kind of see in Tanana Hudson so he’s like in my opinion a younger Tanana Hudson so I really see him as being a possible you know player to make the 53 man roster I will say with tan mlin again he is in college he did play that slot role kind of like Mike Kiki did last year 90% with the uh Patriots and also played a lot of slot with the um Dolphins as well back in the day so I really think that Tanana mofen will end up being um he’ll make the 53 man roster in my opinion so I I disagree I don’t think he’s a cut candidate at first when we first drafted him before looking more into him I was kind of like um bodus no what’s that word where you’re like you’re actual confident about something I forget what the word is but I was a little bit extra saying that we’re he’s not going to be defeated through man roster and you drafted another tight end to get cut now looking more into him and his skill set I don’t know if that’s 100% accurate um I said we’ll say my opinion has changed Joseph verai in a difficult mix I don’t think that Joseph asai will go ahead and get cut um as it says right here it’s quite possible asai not only beats the cut scenario but finds himself in a nice role in 2024 that’s another guy I think osai the thing about him is I still think again it’s the potential he is Young he has all the potential in the world to be a really great Edge rusher for us um obviously he’s dealt with injuries so much throughout his career so far his short career so far but I don’t think that they will go ahead and move on from him in any way possible um I think he will make the 53 man roster in the end it just really comes down to who’s better than him right and that’s really what would it would come down to um looking at this you know defensive line right here well yes we have Cam sample Joseph aside Sam hubard well look at the other side you know Cedric Johnson is it possible he does really good and takes over for potentially oai yes we did use a third round draft pick on Joseph so that’s probably not going to happen Justin uh bik isn’t going to take over for him so it really isn’t about like how good the player is sometimes sometimes it is but a lot of times it’s not about how good a player is it’s really about who is his backup does that backup have more potential does that is that backup better than him does that backup give us more in return by the starter and if those answers are no which I think right now really the answers are no to that I don’t think it’s going to happen I could see us cutting Jeff gunar I think Jeff Gunner is a cut candidate and if I had to go through this list right real fast just simple I think that Anthony is a cut candidate I think Lance Robinson well outside of some of these guys like the you know undrafted pickups here but I think Jeff gunar Davis is going to be a cut candidate Travis Bell Maxwell Jay is a cut cut candidate I mean there’s a lot of players on this list I again I know when it comes to clutch points here they’re not really strictly saying that these guys are going to get cut they’re just saying that they’re a possibility kind of as I made I made a video a couple um about a month ago talking about players on the bubble going into training camp and these are all players I feel like there are players like all these guys that listed here today are own the bubble they are um I think they have a better chance than the average bubble player but again you know you never know anything could happen and that’s why you know the NFL nothing’s guaranteed in the NFL everything could go belly up within seconds but guys tell
