so BFF posted the best offseason decision by every single AFC team and I feel like going into this you we have to break this down in one or two categories are you including the NFL draft are you including just everything but the draft because sometimes when people say off season they kind of mean everything sometimes they mean just the before the draft because the draft is the off season but that’s usually about the future nonetheless though this off season we have done we did a lot okay we lost a lot of players we gained a lot of players if I’m going to split this up into two categories I think the best signing excluding draft player we got was Von Bell because when you build a house you want to have a good foundation you want to have that strong Foundation to build your house that you’re going to live in right now we are building a very young talented secondary and Gino Stone helps out a lot to that but Von Bell is the foundation that helps us build it one quote I really did like from um what’s his name Brian was the fact that he said about Joe burrow coaches can only do so much at the end of the day coaches tell you what to do they help you you know learn stuff they help you play your best football but it’s really up to the players to interpret what the coach says and do what they need to do but it’s up to the leaders like Bon Bell like Joe burrow like Germaine Pratt to help those newer players and younger players interpret what needs to be done the coach can only do so much and that’s why again Von Bell he’s the foundation of that young secondary learning how to play at a high level he’s the guy so he’s my best offseason move excluding the NFL draft okay I feel like there’s a there’s a whole breakdown here you got to go through before you answer this question including the NFL draft I would love to say Chris Jenkins cuz I love Chris Jenkins but it’s the Marius Ms we’ve had a problem on the right hand side for a very long time now and fixing that and protecting your quarterback is one of the most important if not the most important thing to do as an NFL team nothing is more important than the trenches on offense and defense Marius Mims is not the sexiest pick for right now he is a pick for the future but like I said about building a house in your foundation that’s exactly what you need when it comes to your line your line is your wall of defense that is what you need to work on and we did that we have a future pick in am marus Mims who’s going to be able to help us in the future win Super Bowls protect Joe burrow and also he’s a plan B if crap hits the wall this year and someone gets injured like Trent Brown now on what it doesn’t happen but that’s my long and short summary of how I would say our best offseason move let’s see all right there we go Baltimore Ravens residing Justin matuk um yeah I think that was probably really important I I I agree with PFF Derk Henry signing I don’t think was as big as people make it out to be I get it he’s great and I understand you know he’s going to be really good for them but he is also a 30y old running back and matuk if they would have lost him that would have been a lot worse I mean that guy is an absolute animal in the defensive line he can get through offensive lineman very quickly and I rather it just de with Derrick Henry and not Derek deal with matuk on defense so I I understand I completely agree with that restructuring Von millo’s contract especially with them losing all the players they did I think that’s I agree with that and they have drafting am Marius MIM yeah I think this the long and short of this is this is the best thing we did this off season it’s not the sexiest pick for right now but it’s a good move for the future I I when I see this question I wish they would do offense and defense because like I said I think the Von Bell one is very much a questionable up there type of thing as well because it does the same thing as drafting a Maris Mims you’re building for the future and you’re build you’re helping build your team to a level that’s going to be very competitive and very good so I feel like it’s a 1 a1b type scenario but I do agree drafting Maris Ms was also really good um resigning zarus Smith out with Russell wils in with B Knicks man the $85 million cat pit it is so difficult to even squint and say that that is very smart um I agree moving on from Russell Wilson is in the aspect of being your starting quarterback is smart cutting him outright and taking that money or losing that money I guess oh that’s Ah that’s a very tough one to swallow I will say bringing in Stefan digs and Dell Hunter okay let me just do some real fast sorry guys um oh um I think I have to do hang on guys I’m gonna have to do this real fast and uh there we go all right right so I agree with PFF on this one 100% denell Hunter is going to be an absolute Beast for them and I think he’s going to be a monster for the foreseeable future so I think that was a really good move by them I agree kind of weird though I mean they brought in a couple players off season kind of weird you would only talk about the now Hunter but I agree with that drafting pass rusher ltil I mean yeah we’ll see how he goes problem with l two is injuries that’s his problem in college was injuries so we’ll see how he does in the end resigning Trevor Lawrence o okay I got I got to fix it again hang on hold up all right oh wait hold up I think I um yeah there we go overpaying Trevor Lawrence oh yeah I guess yeah resigning Chris Jones um rejuvenating the defense Raiders did you did you actually do this all by yourself now one of your players went to jail Haring Jim Hogs extending Jaylen Wadd uh drafting Drake May bringing in Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses signing Russell Wilson sorry it’s got a actually I think I I think it was actually this one sec because I disagree with this completely I think signing Russell Wilson was actually stupid I think we all know the real smart thing they did was trading for Justin fields that was the smart thing they did this off season it was not Russell Wilson it was that hiring bill cahan as your offensive line coach [Applause] yeah don’t you I mean Bill Bryant Bill cahan only went there cuz Brian’s there and that’s his dad so yeah come on now I I mean bill bill is amazing don’t be wrong okay he’s absolutely amazing like as an offensive line coach he actually was the offensive line coach for Cleveland but come on now okay well I did I butcher his name or I think it’s like that I think I just cut it off
