The Leafs are just doing Willy a contract. Making some noise about his broker who will then get an NHL contract on a different team. This guy probably never plays a game for us or the Marlies.
The most value we can get out of this deal is Willy's effort level.

10+ goal scorer at 26yrs, guaranteed there a few were NHL offers! But hes bounced around his entire career, so it looks like he chose some familiarity being with his brother over a guaranteed SPC. Win/win for us 👍👍👍
