  1. At 35 years old, Mike Sillinger was playing the best hockey of his career. Brendan Witt was from my hometown of Humboldt Saskatchewan and I loved his addition to the Islanders. Islanders used to be my fave team in mid 70s … but I jumped off the bandwagon during the horrible Mike Milbury years. Too bad those breakout years are usually followed by a step back (or two) the next season. Cool video … Thanks for uploading and sharing.

  2. Great unexpected regular season from the NHL misfits at the time. That said, boring and underwhelming 1st round playoff loss killed that fun

  3. If the islanders ever had competent management, they probably don’t have to worry about so much crap. It sucks that Wang was incompetent, even if he did keep the islanders ON Long Island
