I don’t forgive the Panthers for firing Reich though, he got screwed.

In seriousness, I wondered why he hadn’t been mentioned more as a trade candidate, especially for teams needing a QB, but it looks like this was part of the plan.
And we’ve found next year’s backup QB!
How quick these franchises move on from a rookie QB is insanity.
They use to be given a bit of time to acclimate but were in this total “win now” mentality where kids aren’t allowed to grow into being a good QB its results results results results.
It’s not just Bryce Young’s fault the panthers are who they are. They literally gutted their squad (a la McCaffery) and drafted that dude and are shocked he can’t single handedly carry a bunch of shit bags.
The first tweet I saw on this said that the Panthers organization “saw the season slipping away”. Who’s going to tell them?
The Ginger King has returned!
Every rookie QB should start with a clipboard Year 1, or shit at least for a few weeks until injury forces your hand. You’re just asking for trouble if not.
It’s the biggest investment of draft capital a team can make, don’t fuck it up by throwing the guy out there with monsters right away.
Carolina really missing Big Baller Bean…
Last year was brutal on Young. No protection, no weapons, and no scheme for regularly rolling him out to buy time. This year he still has no time to use any new weapons when they are in the lineup. May not be Young’s fault but he HAS to sit and learn from the sidelines like he probably should have done last year instead of becoming a sack dummy for opposing defenses. That damage may not be able to be undone, but he HAS to be taken out of the firing line. You just can’t throw that many passes for so few yards…don’t care if you are last year’s #1 overall pick.
