  1. Hey guys, stop pretending like you care to do any research about any teams out west. We know you are leafs or die but come on. The average bar/pub sports convo has more knowledge and depth on the flames than the 3 of you put together.

  2. Flames need the following to end up in the playoffs this year
    1. Huberdeau finds his 80+ points self – I still believe.
    2. Powerplay needs to find average level success (see #1) – Can't get any worse than last year
    3. The bottom 4 D finds a trustworthy #3 and #4 to fill out the second pair.
    3. The kids need to take a step further (the bigger the step, the better) – Lots of names that can step up. Coronato, Zary, Pospisil, Pelltier, Klapka, Poirier
    4. One of our goalies proves they're better than the NHL starter average.

A lot to ask for, but entirely possible.
There is also the possibility that Conroy trades pieces during the season to ensure a bottom 10 finish so that they don't lose their lower-than-Florida 1st rounder

  3. I think you smash the over on this. Wolf played better than Markstrom down the stretch and the boys played like crap until the kids came up. Kids are up and everyone is energized, kuzmenko scored at a 40 goal pace since coming over and wolf has been a rock star every level he’s ever been. I want a tear down rebuild but they are too good and I think they get 4th in the division and 7th in the conference.

  4. Its funny how Adam predicted the flames correctly with them 5th in the division last year but got them making the playoff wrong. Jesse picked them 6th in the division, while Steve originally had them 5th but bumb them up to 3rd last year believing 22-23 was an off year. Plus o/u pts last year had them 4th, to 6th in the o/u, a 13pts drop

  5. Flames will do better then expected this year, which might hurt them in the long run unless they trade well and use that 19 million left over to get a star. Conroy and Husk still cooking

  6. 😂these guys are completly oblivious. That was last years flames. I think the Flames are going to be surprising alot of people this year. Their pre season games so far are ticking like a Rolex watch

  7. I find it totally unacceptable that this “hockey channel” has no clue what’s going on in the rest of the league, or even another Canadian team. Do they legitimately have no pulse or connections outside of Toronto to fill them in? There are THREE of you for crying out loud. Just absolutely insane.

  8. I do not understand why their are flames fans who want this team to be good this year. Ik it sucks but the way to win, especially in the Canadian market, is through high draft picks. If the flames don't have a top 10 draft pick this year, they will lose it to Montreal. Like guys, even if the flames make the playoffs, do you really expect this team to go far? I just don't understand the delusion and claiming their good or wanting them to be good. It is on the same level of delusion as 80 IQ Oiler fans claiming Skinner is a top 10 goalie or that their d-core is good.

  9. I wonder how happy Steve is knowing debrusk went from Boston to Vancouver.
Or that Lindholm already is struggling before even playing a game for Boston 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  10. It's hard to strip the team down to the studs with Huberdeau and Khadri under long term contracts, but the fire sail will likely continue for the Flames this season, with Mantha and Kuzmenko next to be traded by the deadline. They have huge cap space and a prospect pool is ranked just inside the top third in the league that will only get better with all the draft picks they've got for the next entry draft. Still having some talent on the roster also means less embarrassing blowouts, the way the Sharks had last season. It's hard to say how the bottom of the division shapes up when you have to figure Anaheim has less injuries, the Sharks are better, and it's a toss up if the Flames are better than Seattle right now.

  11. This has nothing at all to do with your analysis but I'm sitting in a cafe in Kyoto watching this, and a guy wearing Flames jersey just walked by. I say its a good omen, smash the over.

  12. я думаю повторится прошлогодняя история,они начнут неплохо,что бы продать свои активы в дедлайн подороже,а после очередной распродажи начнут сдуваться что бы быть повыше на драфте…
