WAITING GAME: Diamondbacks On Postseason Fate In Mets, Braves Hands

With the Arizona Diamondbacks beating the San Diego Padres on Sunday, their postseason fate will be determined by Monday’s doubleheader between the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets. After Sunday’s regular season finale, manager Torey Lovullo and outfielders Corbin Carroll and Jake McCarthy talked about the weirdness of having to watch on TV to find out whether they are going to the playoffs or not. The D-backs need help!

  1. As a Mets fan I feel somewhat bad… this whole situation is wild…a fucking double header to decide 3 teams fate the day before the playoffs while the rest of the league has finished. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this. It's absolutely ridiculous all around…Dbacks are a good team and I actually feel for them but it's shitty for the Mets also and I wouldn't be surprised if they messed it up. I've seen it many times. It's going to be interesting

  2. Waiting on a doubleheader sweep? Where the winner of the first game doesn’t need the second? Where if one of the teams sweeps they will have to play the Padres instead of the fraudulent Brewers? Yeah. Go ahead Diamondbacks and book that tee time.

  3. Well, D-backs were eliminated today. In a way, I'm relieved. Now I don't have to worry about any sports team until late October. Good luck next season!
