  1. You can blame anyone, but the ownership and management made moves throughout the season to win. Adding Josh Bell, Grichuk, Suarez, etc. They had injuries to 3 of the 4 starting pitchers, and still we won more games than the year before. Montgomery was a waste, and so frustrating to watch.. he never looked ready for a game.. never. He could pitch batting practice maybe. It was frustrating, that anyone of Montgomery's losses, would have been the difference between playing against the Brewers right now, or taking a longer break. I think that if they keep the majority of the team together, and go find some young pitchers like Pfaadt, they will be even better next year. The World Series and the lack of a break last year, meant that our team actually started off slow. and then we had pitching injuries to E Rod, Kelly and Gallen. Montgomery was a bust of course, but I do appreciate that an owner though of going for it, that he though this was a good way to spend $25 million dollars in order to win more games.

  2. from 2020-2022 the AD's record was 151-233(wiki)….they shocked MLB going to the WS last year(and along with the Rangers meant both 2023 WS teams did NOT qualify in 2024)…..just seemed like a silly pop off by and old coot(81 yo)…..of little value since he is likely to end up eating the second year of this contract……MLB players are wildly overpaid….why single out one guy???

  3. I don't know how you blame 1 player for not having the right pieces available for the season. What's worse is now that you've made it clear that the 1 player you hate isn't valuable why wouldn't he take the player option and screw you next season before he retires and enjoys that extra $22.5m? Great job owner you just played yourself.

Also to add more fuel to the fire it's not only Montgomery who complained about Chase Field because the team itself is arguing with the county over the way Chase Field is being maintained.

  4. Btw we would be in the playoffs comfortably right if it wasn’t for that bum Jordan Montgomery and Paul Sewald but Tori Lovello didn’t even listen to us and kept pitching those bums

  5. Can't imagine an owner being so degrading! It's helps nobody! Montgomery will be back unless the owner puts his money where his mouth iany buys out the contract!

  6. These losers are bitter about missing the playoffs. Showing up on Monday hoping to pop bottles only to be sent home. The 6th seed on a Monday shouldn't even celebrate. You losers

  7. That's a disgisting thing to say about a player, I don't care about his performance. If it has to do with his work ethic, by all means, call the guy out. But being a professional pitcher can come with bad variance. You don't kick a guy YOU SIGNED when he's down.

  8. Never heard of the pitcher nor followed the D-Backs this year or any year…..

But I can tell when someone is FULL of s-h-i-t (excuses about the humidity)
And DOES NOT GIVE a s-h-i-t(20 million for NOT giving a fuck)

  9. What would be really great is if owners like Kendrick would remember that players are people with families. My heart goes out to Jordan’s mom especially. I hope Montgomery exercises the option JUST to be a thorn in Kendrick’s side, works with a specialist on his own to figure out what needs adjusting, and then goes to a team that values humans.

  10. That’s the exact thing why I hate these options out or opt in player options on these contracts. He can totally opt-in for 25 million next year after a season like he had. On the flip side he can opt-out if he has a great year and thinks he pitched above a 25 million value. That kind of clause needs to go. You sign a player to say 15 x 3. If he pitches like crap, he’s still in, same pay next year. If he wins the Cy young, same pay next year and hope there was a bonus written in about the Cy young. Simple.

  11. humidity? arizona? Arizona is a dry heat… they’re one of the places with the LEAST amount of humidity. I spent my summers in Tucson growing up.. if he blames the humidity for not being able to pitch in Arizona, then he’s not gonna be able to pitch anywhere.

  12. Before this video I thought it was terrible for him to say that. But thinking on it now , if Jordan had done great he would have been praised for a good signing. So wouldn’t it be the same way the other way around ? Man is honest and didn’t just sugar coat what was the truth just because the media was there.

  13. Its time to blame the players if they collect the money and forget how to play. Like Mike Trout blaming angel's owner for the angel's struggles how about him always been injured

  14. That last joke was a rehash of an old joke regarding former Dodgers owner Walter O’Malley after he moved the team out of Brooklyn:

“You’re in a room with Hitler, Stalin & Walter O’Malley and you have a gun with two bullets, who do you shoot?”

    Brooklyn fan: “O’Malley… twice”
