The Orlando Magic’s bet on Wendell Carter’s health and potential
The Orlando Magic surprisingly agreed to a reported three-year, $59-million extension with Wendell Carter, keeping him with the Magic through the 2029 season. This move is a strategic bet on Carter’s health and potential, aimed at enhancing the team’s future flexibility for trades and acquiring star players while investing in what the team has already built and shoring up Carter as the team’s starting center.
With the Magic now aligning their books, the next and final question for the offseason is whether the Magic will get an extension done with Jalen Suggs to keep this team fully intact for the long term.

Horrible decision
It's a hasty decision for the magic to commit to him long-term as of now. He still has 2 yrs left, let it play out
Wendell please give us a better year
Hope that this works. Thank you for your dedication and analysis of the team.
We used to be an organization that got rid of all their players. Now we’re starting to be an organization that keeps their players now the Orlando Magic fans are complaining. What are we doing? Let’ our front office Do their jobs
I don’t like Wendell Carter’s motor. He doesn’t seem to be given a lot of energy and he doesn’t get rebounds or play down low like he should but our organization has committed to him so we have to be a fan. But Hopefully all the negativity and hate makes him a better player and teammate, and he helps Orlando Magic win a championship that would be awesome.
With every injury wcj trade value plummets
He broke his hand down the stretch. If you noticed he couldn't put his hand out to reach for defensive stops.
Look at the models that the Warriors, Bucks, and Celtics have done. They have been ultra successful and Horford, Lopez, and Looney are not world beaters. Also look how well Dallas did after acquiring Afford.
I can't believe how many people in the Magic media are missing the tea leaves with Suggs. The Magic consider Anthony Black as good of a prospect and only have room for one more big contract. Who was the first guard off the bench and lead the team in minutes Monday. I say that trend continues. They may use the season to analyze that. 🤔
Fresh off a rolled ankle and onto the injury report my boy got paid 😂
