Such an amazing video. Surprised you don't have more subs.
Great video!
People overthink some things, I think the D-Backs in the 2023 playoffs were just lucky to be at the right place at the right time.
What is stunning is that the D-Backs won more games during the regular season in 2024 than in 2023, but they did not make the playoffs this season.
they still won like 89 games in a pretty good Conference barely missed out in a really tough division i wouldnt say "collapse" they still are a very good Ball Club
11:11 Acuna had 73, Ruiz had 67…. Come on man
Poor a.i. content, that has no concept of a "fan" in diamondbacks baseball
They had josh bell and only used him for walker's time on the IL and then kept him on the bench the rest of the season. He's a switch hitter with a silver slugger, why let him sit there? They could've platooned Jake and Randall with corbin in center and Gurriel switching between left and right field, platoon Joc with Bell as the DH. Or they could keep the DH platoon and have Bell pinch hit if Joc started and you switch him out for randall and now another pitching change causes a right hander up. They had so many options with Bell and just left him on the bench.
They didn’t loose the bee game. Walk off homer from walker
This is gonna happen to the Yankees literally 1 for 1 if we don’t fire Boone and resign soto
The city of Arizona? The state of Phoenix is so proud.
They over-performed in the 2023 post-season and the cursed monkey paw finally curled. They had so many chances to get to the Post season but blew it. The suspect bull pen and lack of star power on the hitting as well as a lack of good starting pitching costed them in the end. They got hot in the summer but cooled off late come September. Zach Gallen deserves to be on a better team.
Been a Dbacks fan my whole life. Had tickets for this year's NLDS and CS, only for them not to make it, we were heart broken, but to be totally honest, we ended this year with more regular season wins than last year, just the way the other teams shook up got us just barely screwed out, so honestly, I'm not to upset with the team, despite the disappointment.
Dbacks fan here in Arizona!
Bro you dont know what you're talking abt. I wouldnt say we "collapsed." Best scoring offense in the MLB, same record as the Mets and Braves, able to resign people and add new faces, improving 5 games? People were saying the Dodgers, Dbacks, and Padres might be 3 of the best teams in the MLB. Yes I will say our pitching is horrendous. We need more depth and more reliable starters. But to say we "collapsed" just because we missed the playoffs 1 year after the world series? No. The Rangers did worse than us, so why not do a vid on them? We had injuries this year. A ton of them. Oh and a doubleheader after the season was over was a shitty move by MLB because a hurricane delayed games in Atlanta. It wasn't our fault we missed the playoffs. You cant say we "collapsed"
3:36 The "city" of Arizona… Okay then.
Both the D-Backs and Rangers just got hot at the right times last year. Both regressed and didn't win their divisions or make the playoffs this season. But both were still good, they just weren't as hot as last year and the NL West was pretty strong while the AL West wasn't strong but no one seemed to want to win the division, either.
I cant help but notice that you said "they lost in the city of Arizona"
This "collapse" should have happened late 2023. We were lucky to make it to the playoffs. Luvollo is the common denominator as to why we cant get over the hump. I think more people would side with you if you delved into his 2017 and 2018 years, where he singlehandedly choked a playoff series and a division to the Dodgers
Overreaction lol
Did you put Acuna and Ruiz with the wrong stolen bases total?
This video shows you don’t watch every team. They won more games in 2024 than in 2023. This team put up the most runs in baseball. You and other people producing content just follow big teams and will make any excuse for them but make hit pieces on smaller teams.
Merle Kelly and Yanyo Suarez 😂
I think the Rangers collapsed more than AZ…
I like hearing about a team's season, but I prefer a story that is told well. Who is behind Purely Baseball? Was this a script fed to a computer-generated voice? There are so many grammar and pronunciation errors that it was hard to listen, as well as a lot of poor phrasing. I'll have to find something more professional.
I hate the d backs and they beat my Phillies in 7 and I’ll
Never forget it we jump
Up 2-0 then blow 2 games and go up 3-2 then lose 2 at home we choked we were the much better team
I mean 89 wins in a brutal division isnt a collapse to me. You could say things like Carroll had major regression, Montgomery actually did more harm than good, etc. They had a lot of problems. But collapse? Nah.
What do you mean one year, we collapsed in one weekend
Please review scripts and stats, SB w Acura and Ruiz wrong, city of Arizona, Carroll coming off best “year” yet, supposed to say month. Videos are fire but could be a lot better, distracting me from the enjoyment
😭
The D’Backs didn’t lose the Bee game. I was there…they won 4-3
I am a Dbacks fan in Arizona
We would have gotten to the play offs if the cubs didnt throw on purpose against THE BRAVES
and torey luvello isnt a good manager and i think we should fire him
The Phillies really squandered that NLCS is what gets overlooked.
Shouldn't this video be about the rangers?😂 78-84 after winning the world series isn't great either lol
