They were clutch and obviously the best team in baseball from start to finish. Dave Roberts is a hall of fame manager. Leaving Treinen in after asking him if he could get the outs. Wowzers! 4. Nailed it 100% Bro. Congrats to the Dodgers, they did earn it. But this is a gut punch like no other because this was really that close to being our year. One game away. One big hit away. One bad pitch away. 5 bad Machado AB's away… but they beat us. I hate losing to LA as much as anything but this was their year. No doubt about it that we take care of business against both Mets and Yankees if things went our way vs. LA. Still so proud of our 2024 Padres because they did have a championship in them and we all knew it. Just didn't work out. I blame Hogwatch guy. Mostly. Then Jim in a distant second.

28. The Yankees were never really that great. They had a cake walk to the World Series. They literally only beat weak AL Central teams in the playoffs over the last few years. Minnesota, Cleveland and KC. The Dodgers were just better. The Padres and Mets could've beaten the Yankees in the World Series.
