  1. Where was coach Boone that whole inning?!. Shocked me that he didn’t get the team together once, especially after that second error. It’s like he was having his own lapses too…just complete team breakdown.

  2. I'm not a baseball expert but blaming it on Cole (even though yes he should have been there) but Rizzo with 2 outs to end the inning as soon as you get that ball you are charging. He ran like a fat ass and looked surprised when no one was there. Rizzo should have easily got that out.

  3. Rizzo "The Lazy" After Cole gets into trouble cuz the Defense, the bases are loaded with no outs!!! He strikes out Lux, he strikes out Ohtani, you must be mentally like a fielder, wanting at all costs to end what could have been a horrendous inning, and Betts is at bat and hits a soft ball that is comfortable so he can attack it, walking forward, his glove is on the right side, it was so easy, he must be hungry to end the inning. Cole was already tired, he almost got 6 outs in 1 inn. The slow and lazy way Rizzo attacked that ball only shows how disconnected he was from the situation, and in the end, Cole takes all the blame. INCREDIBLE!!!! Yankees 5-0 at that moment, Rizzo did not make the slightest effort to want to finish Betts off by itself

  4. Cole not covering first might go down with Buckner’s 86 defensive miss — although in that instance if he fielded the grounder the Sox win the title. I just don’t get how Cole could not be busting it over to first in that situation! And why was he just standing there pointing to the base? What was he thinking. He reacted like it was Rizzo’s fault.

  5. As a lifelong Mariners fan, you’ve gotta be living in an alternate dimension to complain that your team hasn’t won the World Series in “15 years!”

  6. The 2024 Yankees were not a team. They were individual mercenaries. The Yankees benefited from being in a lousy AL. The Cole Rizzo you take it I got It play is symbolic. Aaron Boone is just a towel boy and excuse maker.
This may be one of the few teams in history that made the world series and should be rebuilt.

  7. I hope Judge loses sleep all offseason. He is the biggest postseason bum I've ever seen in my life. He is a disgrace to the legacy of Yankees captains.

  8. I think even the attempt to get the lead runner out at 3rd by the Yankee SS was an ill-advised play. They were up 5-0 over halfway through the game and the double play was right there.

I can see the attempt to get the lead runner in a tighter game but with the routine double play right there why worry about getting a shut-out? And after the double play you'd still have just the runner on 3rd with the sac fly now taken out of play.

It wasn't a bad decision per se, just the lesser one compared to the double play in that particular situation with such a big lead.

  9. It definitely is disappointing. Yes, they have to pull it all together.
The bullpen is terrible and they need more than Gerrit Cole as a decent starter. There are rumors about Max Scherzer coming on board. Hope that is not true. He has been an amazing pitcher, but, he simply is not as good as he once was. He is older, and the injuries haven't helped.
Don't pick up anymore players who have had their time in the sun. No Scherzer.

  10. The Yankee fan tears are delicious. Much deserved after the glorification of that bum who assaulted Mookie the day prior. Pretty poetic that Mookie ended up hitting the go-ahead sac fly to win it all.

    Go Dodgers!

  11. It's clear that Cole was more interested in strutting to the dugout thinking he got out of the inning than he was about covering first base. A complete and utter embarassment, the only thing more embarassing would be dropping a textboot routine flyball in center field.
