I’m sure that’s exactly why
They better get used to that. Their pool of free agents is going to solely consist of players who have no other options.
The A’s were never serious players for Walker Buehler cmon he was going to have to be paid in real dollars.
What!? We were told that mlb stars such as Aaron Joge, John Soho, Frankie Foreman, and Shohei Otañez were going to be thrilled to play in the intimate atmosphere of Sacramento.
Since when have the A’s shown any serious interest in a relevant free agent?
This is great news. I wish Fisher nothing but the worst for the rest of his life.
Sacramento is the excuse today, but if/when Vegas ever happens, players will have new excuses because they’re all like FJF.
I think the A’s could pretend to have interest in him knowing he’d not sign to play in a AAA ballpark, and probably not playing for this joke called “ownership”. There was no way they’d pay him market value, but when you know they’ll say “no”, it makes it easier to offer.
