suspend fred
This is one of the ugliest games we played thus far. 5th game in 7 days and B2B, sure, but we looked so flat for like 3 quarters from most of our players. But the grit we have to keep fighting and grind them down defensively is great spirit to see from the team. But like the Bucks game, just another painful failed comeback on a B2B.
Not sure why Ime didn’t use the last timeout to draw up a play for a tie. Yeah we don’t shoot well, but still.
Reed and Amen seemed like the only bright spots in the first half. Reed getting his shot to fall on decent volume was needed when no one else had it at that point. And Amen just continues to be solid with his driving game and defense.
Jabari had another quietly solid game as well.
Sengun woke up in the second half and was the main player carrying us then. Wasn’t able to pull through at the end, but we wouldn’t have been there in the first place without him.
When Jalen can’t shoot, he doesn’t provide much else. Biggest glaring issue tonight from the team it feels like. Fred a close second with that CTE at the end. Tari annoyingly has some Cam-esque tunnel vision on offense, especially in transition.
And of course we couldn’t shoot tonight, from most of the volume guys at least. Should’ve had more opportunities for Jabari, Reed, and even Aaron Holiday.
Deni was annoyingly good.
We move on. Get some rest and come out swinging against the Wolves. … Please.
Fuck the rockets played like shit
5th game in 7 nights. Scheduled loss
Games like this happen, not too worried. Remember this is their fifth game in seven days that’s super brutal
VanVleet, Eason, and Green all looked horrible
Don’t understand why the ball is going to a guy that’s 0/5 from 3 when we’re down by 3 points with 20 seconds left
Get Fred tf outta here
It’s 6.41 AM in Türkiye and I watch this…. What a sad day.
I hop we can bounce back…
We got guards and wings that can’t shoot 40%, centers can’t shoot 50%
Offense is a problem and Ime needs to figure it out
pretty disappointing for FVV to make a mistake and flip out like that. just own up, dont throw a tantrum
that was definitely a game of basketball
I’ve been defending Jalen up until now but im gonna be real this game fucking sucked
Not even talking about FVV who sucked as well but seeing Anfernee Simons hit that clutch three at the end of the game hurt because I haven’t seen that from Jalen in what feels like forever
This team keeps losing to teams they should beat. It’ll bite them in the ass when the schedule gets harder soon
Fred crashing out at the end of the game was not on my bingo card for our veteran leader.
JUST SO MUCH DUMB SHIT TONIGHT
SO MUCH BAD OFFENSE
PRETTY MUCH TOP TO BOTTOM BAD BY EVERYONE
AMEN, YOU’RE STILL AMAZING
DILLON STILL SHOWED UP
GOING TO CHALK IT UP TO ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS
12-6 IS 12-6. WE STILL UP.
STAY TIPPIN.
I’m begging for one single competent offensive player on this fucking team
That was dumb at the end tbh
Go for the shot and the tie
We won the important game tho so doesn’t matter but we need all these easy wins
FVV with another stinker
Tough shooting night. Simons hit a dagger though, respect to the blazers.
12-6 is great, every season always has its schedule losses. Lookin forward to the next one.
We need to have an honest conversation on Jalen Green man
Lol na go ahead and throw in Fred as well in that Green for Booker trade 😂
Such a stupid fucking loss
Got outrebounded by 10 and Blazers hit 10 more threes. Honestly impressed it was even this close. Jalen, Fred, Jabari, and Tari all need to be better! Especially Fred and Jalen, supposed to be “running the offense” as guards…
I don’t understand why you guys start Fred. Reed is an amazing prospect
Our defense is the only reason we stayed in that game. We are legit on that side of the ball. If we can shoot consistently well then we’ll be unstoppable.
Houston Rockets Basketball 💔🤷🏾♂️
That was a rough one
So did Fred get fouled? He called the ref a bitch.
Also trade Jalen. He’s not it. He’s a spark plug off the bench at best.
Our 3pt shooting is so bad. Its so disappointing
Okay. Can we bring Cam back up and send Jalen to the g-league so he can get his shot back? 1-9 on GOOD looks is horrible. That said, I was actually happy with his shot selection tonight, he was wide open. Wasn’t forcing bad shots. He just sucks.
Edit: don’t understand the Tari hate. Did he miss ALL his shots, yes. But did he contribute on rebounds and blocks/steals? Yes. He had an off night but still contributed. Especially compared to Jalen and Fred. Tari really needs to practice finishing on someone as big as Clingan, clingan blocked everything he put up
This is is our problem when our starting guards shoot a combined 1 of 15 from 3. You can’t keep winning like that.
Sometimes you. Sometimes me. Always cant shoot.
We showed up to this game with a flat tire.
Not going to overreact but it is alarming the amount of wide open three’s that were bricked this game. Our backcourt a combined 1 for 15.
Not great.
this was a dumb lost.
we lost in such a dumb way in the end.
Hopefully we learn from this.
Also Sengun should have been cooking Avdija really disappointing.
This shouldn’t happen after all the starters only played three games against a tanking team at home cour. I don’t know why Ime experimenting the sub pattern again. I don’t blame him though. Stone screwed big time in drafting Reed, who can’t dribble and defend, but try to force him into the position. He is not PG material. Whoever scout this should be fired
This was another heartbreaking loss, but we’re still much better than last season. These young guys will bounce back; there’s no need to be neurotic. We just need to stay calm and keep supporting them.
Whole team shooting tour dates😭😭 Fred: 4/13 Jalen: 3/14 Jabari: 3/10
If only there are consistent 3 points threat, that Sengun high post up plays work better
You know what sucks? If Jalen has a bad game his haters suddenly show up. If Sengun has a bad one, the Sengun haters pop up. The fans are not united and the stadium is half full. The players need full support in back to backs…. especially in loses like this.
Team looked gas. IF we are going to make a trade for a difference maker it has to be a perimeter oriented guard. Imagine if Green or VanVleet had any sense of consistency
Not sure Brooks deserved a tech.
We always fucking lose when the Warriors lose. IM GOING TO LOSE MY MIND
1 of 15 from 3 and 7 of 27 overall from backcourt. 3 of 17 from out PFs. 3 TOs from fred to only 5 assists….yet 0 minutes for holiday and 0 minutes for Jeff green, both of whom could have helped if they at least played 5 minutes on second night of a back to back and 5th game in 7 games, with everyone being tired. Ime definitely not helping the team in close games going into last minute.
Amen tries so hard but he can’t do everything for them. FVV Choked. Should have given the 3 shot to Brooks.
Shoutout to the anti-trade crowd.
This is the sight we’ll see a lot if we make the playoffs without a real star. Where defenses get tighter, rotations get shorter , and the game slows down with more possessions played in the half court. 5th game in 7 nights? That’s just an excuse. It’s still early enough in the season and this is against the Blazers who are also on a B2B. They’ll be more tired and worn down by the time postseason comes especially with the way we play D so this is just a good simulation for what’s in store in the postseason.
We NEED a star. Someone who can get buckets reliably when the game stalls and the game plan flies out the window. That guy isn’t on this roster so we need to go out and get him. Y’all are acting like we don’t know what it’s like to have one when we had Harden for years. If we don’t, what we just saw will be keep happening for stretches.
%20 3pt from starters, wtf
Starting backcourt both shooting less than 40% overall for the whole season and less than 32% from 3. Talk about horrible shooting and inefficiency. God I miss those harden days of 30 points on 10 shots.
