Like many drivers in Saturday’s field, Christensen saw an adventurous Snowflake 100 filled with multi-car incidents. However, he was able to avoid the chaos and leave with a clean race car and a third-place showing.

“I keep telling people I have no idea how I survived that,” Christensen told Racing America. “A lot of guys got super aggressive, super early. Just trying to be persistent, and consistent as possible, too. These guys were aggressive. They were on it pretty early from the get-go.

“The biggest help is Ricky [Turner] guiding me through these long races,” he added. “100 laps isn’t easy.”

The night was the byproduct of great coaching, from the likes of crew chief Ricky Turner, spotter Steven Meador and fellow Fr8 Racing driver Jake Garcia, who will compete in the 57th Annual Snowball Derby on Sunday.
