  1. I will never be a believer in the taking more threes approach, which give up long rebounds and force defensive breakdowns.

    It's high risk, and there is only 1 extra point. It also allows the opposing team to get extra rest on defense.

    where as if you start with an inside-out approach you're causing more scrambles on the opposing team's fatigue.

    High volume shooting is and should only be used for team that have the ability to shoot at those clips.

    the magics bread and butter is always their defense and pts in the paint.

    Getting up more 3 pointers should never stop you from giving up a wide open uncontested or whats worse, barely contest restricted shot just for a 30-35% chance at an extra point.

    If you miss the shot the opposing team can start a 3-2 or 4-2 fast break on the opposite side.

    I have watched this exact scenario happen to our Magic way to many times in this first quarter of the season.
