  1. Need a clip of that shift that lead to the Hughes goal. Huge game changing shift by the Meier-Hischier-Mercer line. Then Bratt and Jack take advantage of it, literally how you’d draw it up in the playbook

  2. Can only imagine what Keefe said to them in the 2nd intermission.

“Hey guys you kinda gotta score”

    “oh yeah we forgot”

    *doom music plays*

  3. 3-1-1 at home where we are struggling, and in those games, we struggled with our offense and power play. YET, we come out with points in 4 of the 5 games, playing great defensively. holding teams to under 20 shots per game in the majority of the home stand.

18-0 when leading with less than 5 minutes to play

15-0-1 when leading after the 3rd.

Stop playing. This team is good. can grind an opponent and then hold the lead late in games, closing it out.

  4. Not only did the Devils win an important home game on a Saturday afternoon, but they also finished the game with just enough time for me to switch over and hear the Rangers get booed off the ice at MSG.

    Merry Christmas everyone

  5. We hopped to first in the division with the win

Shesterkin got pulled for Quick in the second. That $11.5m being put to good use

Fans booed the Rags off the ice

    Nature is healing

  6. Phew.. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly *concerned* heading into the 3rd period. That shift for the game winning goal is the stuff of our dreams and other teams’ nightmares! What a sequence and what a play by Bratt, he really is unbelievable. So glad the Mercer/Nico/Timo line got rewarded with goals after all the work they did to start that sequence and overall they’ve been so good. What a game! And to start to drift away in points from the Canes and even more from the Rangers is 👌

  7. MINI SLUT FEST!:

    * SEVEN OUT OF TEN POINTS AT HOME
    * JESPER BRATT SCORED HIS 400TH CAREER POINT TONIGHT ON THAT ASSIST TO NICO HISCHIER’S GOAL. the narratives! the narratives! they’ve been here since the beginning!
    * god that TWO MINUTE shift in the offensive zone by the Hischier line with Luke/Pesch and then Bratter coming in with a massive hit and play, to Pesch to Jack for the game winning goal!
    * we only needed one period! WE ONLY NEEDED ONE!
    * so good to see the Timo – Nico – Dawson line getting on the scoresheet
    * the floodgates have opened for Brett Pesce, he has three points in two games now.
    * especially good to see Timo rewarded he’s been playing so fucking well lately!
    * ANOTHER WIN AT HOME
    * ANOTHER WIN IN THE JERSEY JERSEYS
    * Jesper Bratt will remain one of the greatest decisions ever made by this organization. ever.
    * gotta get that bottom six going. third line looked more dangerous tonight, but still no offense from them.
    * PK is moving on up, but our PP is moving on down.
    * didnt like how many rush chances we gave away tonight
    * massive thank you to Marky for keeping us in this game when it looked like it was all gonna go sideways

    I LOVE THIS TEAM!

Lets get revenge on St. Louis next!

  8. It’s such a fine line with these guys. It’s goes from “is it time to worry” to “everything is fine”. I don’t think the rollercoaster will stop this year.

We can be leaky sometimes but it’s safe to say that we play defense now. Very interesting to see it play out. Little help from the inside of the post today.

Bratt coming in from the bench on the offensive zone change is exactly what we love to see. Just exactly what u want.

  9. That was a helluva shift on the game winner. Fans could see it, too, never heard a cheer so loud for a puck battle win.

  10. I was at my daughter’s nutcracker performance for the first two and a quarter periods…was able to catch the explosion of goals after…man that was nice lol

  11. Bratt’s forecheck is the play of the year. Those are the types of plays that make championship teams.

  12. 10 goals allowed through the 5 game home stand. 👍

    7 out of 10 points. 🤙

    Jesper Bratt making a gaming changing…check?!? 🫦

  13. A goal explosion is fun to watch. Even the dudes doing the dishwasher install were like oh hell yeah.

  14. My third game of the season and the first the won while I was there WOO!!!! Bratt’s hit was freakin awesome, the 3rd period was insane, and thank goodness for the post. LFGD!!!!

  15. The past few games devils won were the ones that I did not watch. There goes another home win!

  16. Really think the Devils should keep doing the double espresso thing they did today between the 2d and 3d.

  17. Will the fourth line be Dowling/Lazar/Bastian when the Hamburglar is back? Because that would be the cherry on top

  18. The hit from Bratt to hold the zone and continue the pressure – leading to the game-winning goal – is culture-shifting stuff.

They smelled blood in the water and went for the kill.  Awesome to hear Prudential Center acknowledge it with the loud cheer.

  19. Great comeback. If the devils cant swing a trade for a top 6 wing, then i want a legit 3C. Move Haula to the 4th, a 4th line of Lazar-Haula-Bas sounds very good to me

  20. Lots of ebb and flow of things during the season. Goal scoring, defense, goaltending, special teams all have ups and downs throughout the year. It doesn’t matter as long as they keep figuring out wins. 3-1-1 on a five game homestand is very good, despite it having nervous moments in every single game.

  21. Devils win, Rags blown out, Flyers getting blown out. This day is hitting like crack

  22. I missed the first two periods. It’s my fault that the team failed to score 12 goals.

  23. What do you guys think about Rangers signing shesterkin for so much dough? I suspected it was a mistake when I heard the news, I feel as though the rangers need to make a lot of changes and they’ve sure spent a lot of money on a goalie.

As far as our devils go , what a game, feels good to see our guys play good defense AND make some good moves out in the o zone.

  24. Missed this one. All our goals looked pretty, but what a fucking cursed goal the Luke mask one was, good lord lol

  25. Shout out to the boys getting 2 more after Jack to help my pops make 425 on a 10 dollar parlay 😭

  26. I went back to look at their schedule and dating back to the Islanders OT loss on 10/25 they have only lost ONE regulation game where they have scored actual goals (the 6-5 loss to Washington). As long as this team scores goals they get points majority of the time so no more shut outs, ok boys?
