  1. >Butler does not plan to furnish the Heat with a list of favored destinations, sources told ESPN. **He is open to playing anywhere other than Miami and feels he can make any team a contender** — no matter where he is moved, sources said. He does plan to take part in all team activities and will plan to do whatever the Heat ask of him during this process, sources said.

  2. >”If you’re not on the court playing, you should keep your mouth shut,” Riley said in response at his end-of-season media session.

    >Riley and Butler’s relationship has yet to recover, sources said.

reminds me of Riley’s post-2014 presser when he said you shouldn’t leave when the going gets tough, before Lebron ended up leaving in free agency

  3. Who would want him? He’s old, injury prone, barely shows up in the RS and wants a fortune.

  4. Not anywhere, but anywhere that gives him the max contract. It’s going to be the last big paycheck of his career.

  5. Watch him get moved to the Pelicans for Zion, and suddenly Zion becomes consistently healthy. Would be the most Heat thing ever.

  6. ‘That f***ing Shams boomed me.’ Jimmy’s agent added, ‘He’s so good,’ repeating it four times.

  7. I could see where Butler is coming from. You didn’t want to give me my extension, then just let me go elsewhere.

It’s not like Butler owes the Heat franchise anything. He led them into two finals and the biggest acquisition they got him is Terry Rozier lol.

  8. He’s averaging 18 points lol at 35. Anyone who pays him is making a bad choice imo.

  9. Damn I would have loved for him to retire in Miami. He embodied the idea of their culture.

  10. The problem is that a Jimmy wanting to spite Riley and knowing what he is capable of in the playoffs is definitely intriguing.

Curious to see who bites and how it plays out.
