The best moves to finish off an A+ offseason would be signing a big bat whether it’s Alonso, Santander or Bregman and then trading for Fairbanks who only makes about 3M in 2025. Would finish off an A+ offseason and set them up to win 95+ games in 2025.
It would be foolish not to try and get Sasaki. With three pending free agents on their pitching staff. I don’t see them signing another free agent because they will lose another draft pick. Which they are decent at drafting. Sasaki would let them trade Nelson or Phaadt.
Last thing they need is another left handed bat.
Trade P. Smith, Y. Diaz to Tamp Bay for S. Fairbanks, Y. Diaz. Yancy Diaz is Right handed bat that plays 1st/DH.Has Power.
They still MUST get a closer, and a power right handed bat. ONLY trade Montgomery, and Alek Thomas, nobody else.
They will lose Gallen and Merrill Kelly next season due to free agency. A Burnes, Sasaki, Rodriguez, Pffadt, and Ryne Nelson rotation for 2026 would be pretty impressive!!!!!!
Wait on a closer, sign JD Martinez for DH. Trade at the deadline for a closer, then full steam ahead to the dance.
