Brad Marchand BLASTS Media for “made up” Report about Pastrnak Relationship

Bruins forward Brad Marchand strongly criticized WEEI’s Rich Keefe for his “made up” story suggesting that David Pastrnak doesn’t want to play alongside him. Rich Keefe of Jones & Keefe on WEEI had claimed:

“The locker room is a disaster, and David Pastrnak is at the center of that. David Pastrnak has told the team he doesn’t want to be on a line with Brad Marchand.”

After Bruins practice in Florida, Brad Marchand addressed the report, saying:

“I’m not gonna let it become something it’s not. This guy can go pound sand and go back to the closet where no one knew he was before and report on nothing because that’s what he’s going to be doing after this.”

  12. I agree with Marchand, these media fools only wish to stir the pot and create rumour based content. This crap happens so often in Toronto especially! The media went on and on about Mariner in Toronto this pas summer, and then they say it is the fans making this stuff up. Real fans stick with their teams and support them. Steve Simmons in Toronto is the worse spin reporter with fake news!

  14. Media or no media, something is definitely wrong with this team and their lack of ability to win or for that matter score? I’ll ALWAYS be a Bruins fan, but the higher ups need to look deeper at what the problems are?

  15. Pens fan: Trade Pastrnak, Marchand (50% retained), and Elias Lindholm (or Nikita Zadorov) to the Canucks for Elias Pettersson, Nils Hoglander, and Brock Boeser. Perfect trade. Elias Pettersson is the new Craig Janney. Boeser replaces Pasta as a right shot wing while Elias Pettersson equals Pasta's skill level and salary cap hit. Bruins move forward with a new team.

  20. Going after the way someone makes their living is not right. The reporter has been correct in the past on many issues. Maybe Marchand should go lick someone. What a great captain. Great leadership Marchant. Way to deal with it internally. Really incredible leadership. If Bergeron was on the team this would never happen.

It's definitely been a Tuff start to the season , hopefully we can pull it together later in the year 🙏🏻, i am not going to lie though , Brad has been a great captain so far , he's been trying hard to pull his weight , i think he's done a great job , and I totally agree with him about Pasta I'm sure he's a Loved player and teammate , let's go Bruins 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻👊🏻💪🏻

  31. When a "no name" R?E?P?O?R?T?E?R? presents as fact something that is totally untrue, their credibility is blasted. Prevarication is the name of the game for this poor fool. He will likely need to look up that word although he already knows what it means.

  34. In my book there is only one great insider and it was Bob McKenzie. The rest of em mostly make stuff up, and now there's this new breed that try to dig stories involving the private life of players. I'd prefer if we'd all just stick to in-game analysis. Like for example let's say two players don't get along. Well just talk about it if we saw it on the camera during a game or during a public training session.
