  15. The NHL must not like in depth analysis by the fans, on how teams play against one another. To be able to breakdown their product must be insulting to them, just like how advanced analytics were shunned in the beginning.

The fact that there’s even a remote possibility of the wings being in a playoff spot after YEARS of not making it truly makes this old 90s grind line fan that much sweeter..although the loss to FCKN VANCOUVER feels like that could be a make or break game/point draw, I’m a diehard and not giving up

  18. this all came crashing down tonight bc the coach decided to randomly

    a) play Ville Husso instead of Talbot with off days yesterday and tomorrow

    b) pull his loaded and red hot top power play unit off the ice 55 seconds into a power play in the 1st period down 1-0 and trying to get momentum and tie the game; the awful second unit promptly surrendered a shortie and away we go

    they of course dominated San Jose analytically but lost by 3 bc bad vibes from the goalie, dumb decision by the coach, and two horrific plays by Justin Holl on defense near his own net.

    in the last 11 games, the Wings are now 7-4 ; 7-0 when Kane has a point, 0-4 when he doesn't. that's the guy.

  26. This is a proper analysis of what's changed so far.

    Then you got comments on social media asking "why are they so good now? What was Lalonde doing?" And the only answer I've seen multiple times is dudes just regurgitating "he used dump and chase" "dump and chase". That's how you know someone is pretending to know what they're talking about.

    So according to a certain percentage of the fandom, Lalonde's whole system was "dump and chase" and these people actually think that's a whole collective system.

    So thank you for uploading this. Really appreciated.
