Connor McDavid NOT Re-Signing With The Edmonton Oilers?

The Edmonton Oilers got through one hurdle, signing Leon Draisaitl. But hockey’s a business after all, and despite the earlier good news, it appears to not be guaranteed Connor McDavid remains with the Oilers.

  1. No chance of that happening. Zero. They'd move Bouchard before McDavid. The insider must be higher then Tommy Chong at a Grateful Dead concert.

  2. We all remember his face when he was picked by Edmonton, however his friendship with #29 seems very solid. So the fact that #29 signed long term, for me, is the tell that McD will also re-sign. McD is not a money guy, so can't see another team offer changing his mind. My only worry is his ties to Toronto.

  3. Creating drama where there is none is not good for your channel. Very disappointed with this. Alarming people because some nobody that has no inside knowledge on anything thinks that it's not a guaranteed is as dumb as it gets. Nothing is guaranteed and it's always about how likely something is. In other words nothing changed. So let's turn this nothing into Vancouver/Toronto drama so that McDavid gets drilled with a million annoying media questions which he can't answer because he is not allowed to re-sign at this time. Letting you know… This click bait took you down a huge notch in my books.

  4. Click bait. First, don't compare current management with Peter Pocklington. We have a billionaire owner now and Edmonton is one of the highest valued team. Second, no other team can tell McDavid anything. The Oilers can't extend him until the summer and any team talking to him would be tampering. Third, Leon and Conner are best friends and Leon is here a long time. Forth, he has a family now and is settled in Edmonton. Look at the other teams in the league and the cities. Edmonton is a much better place to raise a family compared to the vast majority of leftist crap holes that would want him. Conner has lots of money and will be paid well by Edmonton. Be better.

  5. I just think people who believe that Mcdavid will not re-sign with the Oilers are just fans from other teams that want Mcdavid gone from the Oilers. Mcdavid's wife has a design company in Edmonton, and it was reported that she is opening a bar in Downtown Edmonton. Plus, Draisaitl signed long term with Edmonton and add that with Nurse. Both his best friends are in Edmonton. The chance of Mcdavid leaving the Oilers are B.S.

  6. Anyone who knows me, knows exactly why I did this video. It's not for the click bait effect, rather being out in front of a story before the "real" clicks start happening. Simply put, everyone thought Draisaitl was DONE first week of July, look at the chaos. Imagine the click bait comments if I had done a video on July 1 saying "Draisaitl signing to be delayed?". Keep in mind, I've learned that you can be out in front of a topic of conversation or you can be playing catch up. And playing catch up is getting HARDER to do every day on YouTube.

  7. Nothing is guaranteed until the ink is on the contract but I've heard it mentioned every year, Connor McDavid has been in the NHL, that he might not sign his next contract in Edmonton lol.

  8. Its all part of negotiations however pretty much he will be given a blank cheque by Katz to sign on the dotted line so it will ultimately be up to him if he wants to stay in Edmonton. From everything I have seen he enjoys the city and the passion of the fans but hockey is a business, now more then ever so anything can happen.

  9. I am finding this site feeds the people a bunch of bs. This one sure does use a manure spreader to start gossip, and try to get the fans wound up over the BS.

  10. hockey in general has been dying for a LOOOONG time, especially in Canada.
personally, i stopped caring back in the mid 90s. that's just me tho…. but look at the numbers, tell me i'm wrong.

  11. Why create more drama. Is that guy from Edmonton or is he from Toronto? Not impressed. Agree with prior comment. Not good for your channel. Sorry I’m unsubscribing. Good luck

  12. There is literally no way McDavid leaves the Oilers. None. After what happened with Gretzky there is no way The Oilers let that happen with a talent like McDavid.

  13. I will be FAR more disappointed in Connors retirement from the NHL in 10 years than if he was to leave here and going to TORONTO…..yes I have no illusions that he would go to any other franchise…. We have been BLESSED to see him play here for this long. I want Connor and his lovely wife to have all the JOY possible for themselves……. Not going to say anything about CLICK BAIT….. No NEED…
