  1. This is the highest level of insight I've seen in a video explaining the Habs' recent successes. Thank you very much!

Now the $50k question is to know which Eastern Conference team among the ones having hot streaks at the moment (Montréal, Ottawa, Detroit, Columbus) can keep this pace and intensity up to reach the playoffs. This playoff race is exciting.

  2. Given that Mtl is so young and just on that cusp – do we think they’ll be buyers at the TDL to bring in some veteran presence for a playoff run or just see where the chips lie? Ik their prospect pool has some fun pieces coming soon too

  3. They aren’t built for playoff hockey though. Hutson, Suzuki, Caufield, even Laine stays away from contact. Playoffs are a more physical style of play and then combine that with penalties being called less, it’s more difficult for counter attacking teams to be successful in the playoffs for that reason. Of course you won’t bring that up, because Montreal is a big market for you and you need the subs…. Smart move.

  4. It makes a big difference when you have 0 ECHL level goaltenders on the roster. It was stupid to even think Primeau was the guy to be back up when he clearly showed in pre-season that he couldn't stop a beach ball. The change should have been made in mid November at the latest and Dobes given a chance to prove himself then. If so they would probably be at worst the # 1 wildcard right now or maybe even 3 in the Atlantic. I know it is a small sample size of only 4 games but you can't claim that the effort level of Dobes isn't miles ahead of what Primeau ever offered this season.

  5. Tonight's revenge on Dallas was spectacular, although the refs were still heavily biased towards Dallas, especially in the third period, it was everything goes when it came to holding the stick, plain holding by grabbing jersey, interference were all aplenty yet MTL had much more penalties, as usual when they play out west, and I have to say that most were deserved, but ignoring so many penalties by Dallas because they are trailing 2-1 in the third period…extreme deja-vu even since Laine joined the team and everyone else got better at the same time, well except for poor Christian Dvorak, another post tonight, the man has so many breakaways that are always stopped, so many posts, well, simply just so many scoring chances yet he's stuck there at 3 goals when he should have 15 if he was able to finish like his early career was showing us he could. Other than him, everyone is playing at A to A+ grade imo, just to think of Demidov, Roy and Mailloux showing up with the big team on what could be a kid line when we let Dvorak, Pezzetta go when it comes to forwards, and likely leaving Struble in the AHL some more, haven't given up on him yet, like I haven't given up on Xhekaj regaining his offensive touch that made it look so complete in his first season where his wrister from the blueline, which he did much more often, it has the quality of a baseball knuckleball, if the game is going real fast, that wrister from the centre of the blue line was beautiful to see when he scored that way, even more so. He was also bringing in the puck deep into the zone then and also last season when they had given Barron the first half of the season (where he didn't do bad at all, 7G,6A and just a -3) and the year before with 15pts in 39 games, I knew the dman glut and the rise of Hutson which I expected, but not to that degree, would mean either Barron or Xhekaj would leave, Xhekaj right now is being molded by Savard into a younger even tougher version of himself, which can just as useful, but I think either guy could have struck a right balance like Guhle does now.

Plus they are a really fun team to watch after the 2 years of endless game lost to injury, breaking their own record, the NHL record, they established in 21-22 even worse in 22-23, ever since MSL had for the first time his full roster, things took a turn, so much so Hutson took Matheson's job on PP1 and was dropped to PP2, which is what we want to see. If like so many analysts are right and Demidov will be joining the team next season for sure, he could make one hell of a third line with Roy and Heineman, for starters (unfortunately Beck is not performing the way he should in Laval), or maybe RHP does come back in his final year of contract, I saw him improve after a very meh return to play after his injury he got last season by coming back too fast from the same injury he suffered near the end of the 22-23 season, where he made his mark. Guess we'll see on those next 1st rounders who are proving that they might be too good for the AHL but whom we don't have the space for…although Pezzeta has done nothing but get stupid penalties early in the games, thankfully the Habs are great in PenKill, because ever since he rejoined the team from the press box, he's tried to be overly physical to try and keep his job and it's not working, so I wouldn't mind being gone. Alright, rambled enough. GO HABS GO!!!! 😆

  6. This video is the best hockey video i have ever seen hands down, im a huge hockey fan but dont usually analyze the plays and dont find it that interesting, this video tho, got me captivated i dont think i even blinked once during the video, if i did i was zoned out completely into the video, insane work dude

  7. Hey!
If you’re about to talk on this team… could you, at least, talk about one player that is quite genuinely fantastic, Lane Hutson?
I’m sure this guy is worth a video like the quality of yours.
    Best regards,
    Korryzer

  8. I am thrilled and am definitely enjoying the ride, but I have no set expectations either as a precaution.

Regardless of how the season ends, the future is SUPER bright!

  9. It's kinda funny. At this point in the season, they are pretty much exactly where I predicted they would be. But I never could've imagined the way they took to get there. What a roller-coaster

From bottom of the barrel, to the hottest team in the league since ~mid-december.

  10. You can put this whole video to the trash, the only reason the habs are wining is because of st.louis beard 🧔‍♂️ 🤣🤣🤣!!! Just kidding of course great video i ❤ you content.

  11. The habs are not the least bit short on talent. Tons of top guys on that squad. They just needed structure and some belief. Seems like they’re finding those things right now so… who knows?
