  1. I agree about Banda. If you can get something you want by including him in a package you trade him. They need roster spots and players with options. You want to keep Banda or possibly miss out on Kike?

  2. The question about who do you go with in the ninth inning of the world series with a one-run lead is a painful reminder that the Dodgers should have kept Walker Buehler.

  3. You guys fail to mention a fundamental reason the Dodgers likely won't move Taylor. He hits 10 years service time on or around August 6. People in the building making lots of money want him to achieve it. Unless they can trade him to a team that guarantees him a spot until that date, he likely stays put. As it stands, even if they sign Kiké, they will only have 16 position players with four having options (Feduccia, Kim, Outman and Pages). Between that and injuries, they can manage a roster with Kiké and Taylor. They do need to address the imbalance between pitching and position players on the 40-man. If you include Yates, they currently have 26 pitchers and only 15 position players. The good news is they have Rushing and Freeland waiting in the wings and other guys like Gauthier and Bote for depth. My guess is they move a pitcher or just keep Yates on ice until camp opens when they can move pitchers to the 60-day IL.

I appreciate the fact you did an entire show without mentioning Arenado. Thanks!

  4. Other teams have the right to be upset at unveiling “secrets” to Roki, but companies do this stuff all the time when you interview candidates. Candidates have to present, write up analysis, etc…and likely won’t get hired. It’s not a great situation, but companies (in this case Roki) have all the leverage.

  5. From what I gather, the salary floor is like 90% of the cap in other sports. There's no chance. Some teams want to spend and too many teams want to spend way way less.

If the floor is 120M and the cap is 260M, that does nothing to address overall competitive balance, so what's the point? It doesnt help parity in that case.
