Orlando Magic’s stars answer the call vs. Detroit Pistons

The Orlando Magic were trying to break a five-game losing streak even with their top players still returning from injury. But to get back on track, they needed Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner to take control and even ignore those injury restrictions.

Franz Wagner scored 25 points in the fourth quarter to ensure the Magic came back to win.

I'm glad that the Orlando Magic won finally they got rid of the restrictions they let Jalen Suggs says go pass his minutes which is fine with me and I guess the message is refuse to come out I guess Jalen Suggs refuse to come out He wanted to prove that he was back in what can I say if physical shape so yep thanks for the heads up like our magic but it's getting late so peace out for right now.?   2. What stood out to me:

    We didn't shove Franz back into a smaller role, his usage rate has actually increased to 37% with Paolo's at 31%. I suspect both players will even out closer to 33%, which is where they should've ALWAYS been. If Franz is playing like he knows how good he is and Paolo is aggressive, the Magic are going to be SCARY longterm.

  5. i feel the refs were causing most of the animosity out there. Both sides were getting horrible calls and obvious miss calls leading to massive frustration. My eyes are not what they used to be and i could see the dangerous atmosphere they were creating.

  9. Hot take: with his current play style, Jalen Suggs cannot be relied on throughout an 82 game season to be the number #3 guy or even a consistent starter. Too injury prone. He needs to pick his spots more but maybe then he wouldn’t be who he is (soul of the team). As things stand, we need a 6th man of the year type guard who can step in as the #3 guy at any time. Maybe that’s Anthony black in a couple years, but maybe that’s someone we acquire through trade.

  11. We should be lucky have stars in Poalo Franz and Suggs not divas willing to play. They could be like Kesha or Paul George doing load management. We should be grateful to have true basketball players willing to sacrifice for the brotherhood they proclaim

  13. This is Paolo and Franz team, but they can’t win anything important without Suggs. Orlando is a TOTALLY different team when he’s on the floor, we don’t win with talent against the true contenders. We win with effort, grit and physicality which 100% starts with Suggs.

  14. Hot take:
    Orlando should trade for Nurkic who is unhappy in PHX.
    Carter Jr. and Harris would match the salary. Nurkic shoots better than WCJ and his contract runs out after next season while WCJ's new contract kicks in until at least 2028.
    Orlando would also have an open roster spot to add a vet if needed
