Arizona High School Hockey State Championships 2/1 at Mullett 6pm

I went to Pinnacle! Tried out for the team my junior year a decade ago at this point, and ended up as a 4th line duster, mostly because I was a horrible skater (almost always the slowest guy on the ice with the least amount of control) but I had a decent shot and was also a really good passer.
Didn’t try again my senior year, but man, those were good times. We were the most hype 4th line you’d ever see at a high school level. Every time we went out, our only real goal was to kill time and prevent the opposing team from scoring until one of the other lines was rested enough to get back out there, but we treated each time as our big moment to shine and played every shift like it was game 7 of the Stanley Cup. I never scored any goals, but I had two assists by the end of the season. 🥲
When I played, Pinnacle was a joke. Just a bunch of meat heads who couldn’t skate and loved to take runs at dudes. We weren’t much better, so no shade. Weird seeing them competing at this level
