  1. I think he’s going to surpass Mikko. Not as an individual player, but he’s just the complete perfect fit for our system, so I could see him finishing with 100 points this year, ahead of moose

  2. Look how Necas has worked out. I miss the moose but the performance of line 1 is objective proof that it has worked. And get a feel-good Drury legacy good with face-offs? Icing on the cake.

  3. Honestly, I really didn’t expect this. I still can’t get used to Mikko being with the Canes. But what Necas is doing, together with Makar and MacKinnon, has to be the most dynamic trio I’ve seen in my 30 years of watching hockey.

  4. I really thought I’d see 96 alongside 29, 8 and 92 up in the rafters one day. My heart is still absolutely gutted but my head says it probably makes sense, long term.

  5. To be a winning organization, people have to want to be there. When you are haggling over that last 2 million a year, that will be 500k to the player at best, then the player does not want to be here anymore. He is willing to stay if over compensated, but he does not want to be here. Drouin is the perfect example of someone that wants to be here cause he knows it helps his numbers, Kadri is the perfect example of someone that would play for Calgary regardless of how few points he scores now.
