1. It’s okay everything with Weltman is about evaluation. He’s evaluating and watching this team collapse. He’s feels untouchable because our media/press is mediocre at best.

2. Btw the stated goal should have never been homecourt advantage. Homecourt advantage can be taken away in one game. The stated goal should have been second rd at worst. When you set your goals for mid level goals, make basically no moves, you kinda get what you get

3. When we talk about what this team needs moving forward please don’t mention defense first. Please. We have to stop drinking the defense koolaid. The league doesn’t even want teams playing defense. Get offensive players. They’re all over the league

4. Make a move for what? What were you going to accomplish?

   You weren’t going to get any player of consequence, but would have to give up assets.

   Said this last season, coming into the season, this team wasn’t going to win a championship.

   No realistic trade was going to change that.

   This slump at the moment isn’t about the basketball, it’s a locker room issue that has to be hashed out.

5. Some of these guys clearly just don’t want it bad enough, or they’re just not that good, I really Mike Miller was pushing Weltman to make a move last night in the offseason bc this is pathetic basketball, Franz and Paolo deserve so much better

7. I don't understand the mindset that we are building for when paolo and Franz are 28 yrs old. How many late FRP do you need? I went through the shaq and penny yrs and we thought we were good for 10 to 1 5 years. We should of brought in an aging star when they had their rookie deals. The Spurs changed their team like 5 times with Duncan. Even last season tyus Jones or brogdon would of got us past the first round. Other teams are getting better. Last season and this season we should of made ecf with our depth but we need need experience and execution from a lead guard

8. Imagine what the score would have been if Trae Young didn't have his normal 9 turnovers and ill advised stupid logo 3 misses!!(1for 8). No way the Magic should lose when loser Trae plays that way!!!

9. Not enough shooting…KCP stinks and Da Silva's play has really tapered off!

10. When Paulo dribbles dribbles dribbles and Franz dribbles dribbles dribles…there really isn't much ball movement! Teams can adjust their defense when you over dribble..instead of passing the ball!

11. Magic may not be the 6th seed..you're right Philip…that would be very disappointing!!! It really feels like we are play-in bound!

12. Good article on fanside about missed opportunities at the trade deadline. Apparently Weltman didn’t even make a call, fielded some but didn’t make one. Now this explains why we have a league hi retention of our own drafted players. If we’re waiting for him to make a move we may be waiting a long time.
    Now Franz and Palo are stuffing the stat sheet but not winning. The coach needs to figure out how to play 5 on 5 basketball instead of the 2 on 5 we have been playing. Last thing, Tristan makes too much of an impact to only play 15 minutes. Ok one more thing, Palo and Franz took 51 shots the rest of the team took 27.

13. Weltman’s stubbornness to admit that this team is not good enough to be in the playoffs and try to add pieces has made the Magic half the team they were just a year ago! I understand the injuries have hurt us but Weltman needed to try something to help the Magic from sinking into oblivion!🤔🤷🏼‍♂️😱

14. This team sucks !!! Don't blame injuries blame the weak roster construction. Weltman has shown nothing to continue to play with the roster . Fire him after game 82 and get rid of that fake GM Parker and get a front office that is aggressive and wants to win

15. The DeVos family DOES NOT DESERVE the opportunity to financially gain off this team making the Playoffs!! The first thing they do is raise ticket prices in the Playoffs and quit honestly they don’t deserve that.

16. Find out why Cole was benched. He only had two fouls and he was scoring and playing defense. What happened to Goga? Why wasn’t he subbed in. No one is talking about it. Please Philip find out!

17. Fact of the matter is last light they didn't come out with the defensive energy they had against San Antonio. They left players wide open. None of the role players relieved the stars at all. Coach left AB in too long at the end when we needed points. And our stars need to be more vocal in demanding their teammates to step up. We can cry and complain about no trades, but we're past that. We can't change the past, and now we have to focus on the future. The right move is to be made in the summer. If no move is made, then I'm jumping on the "we need a new FO" bandwagon.

18. That fact that we’re losing while the fans are being gouged by ticket prices is truly criminal. The product isn’t better, we aren’t contenders. Why are our tickets getting insane and we’re barely a play in team right now. ACCOUNTABILITY

21. Orlando Magic had their chances late but clutch buckets by Trae down the stretch and 17 turnovers by the Magic ultimately derailed their chances of coming out on top. Both Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero showed up and showed out in a big way for the Magic tonight despite the loss.

The Orlando Magic is widely considered a "young team" where every loss is viewed as a valuable learning experience, meaning that even when they lose games, the focus is on extracting positive development opportunities for their young players as they mature and grow in the league; essentially, setbacks are seen as opportunities to learn and improve rather than just defeats.

23. I'm big fan of Suggs but if him is the last hope for this team then we have another problem because he gets injured to easy.

25. You made the point at ~6:30. The magic guarded Young, but Karis Levert and T. Mann made their open shots. If the opposing team guards well Paolo and Franz, then WHO from the Magic can make an open shots consistently? You know the answer….no one. Certainly not Kentavious Caldwell Nope, certainly not AB, certainly not many others. So the change we need is Weltman out of town. He had his moments but without Hammonds we can see the “naked emperor”. Only then we will take steps forward.
