    You sign some key free agents around that core, and that's a solid playoff team that could make a run.

    Not to mention the older greats like Beckett, Miggy, and Sheffield that we also got rid of for winning us the 2003 World Series.

13. The Marlins are a complete embarrassment and a slap to the face to their fans ( I am a former fan). The Miami Heat and the Miami Dolphins are considered a major market in their sport but when it comes to baseball they are a small market ? how could that be ??? its because of the rat cheap loser who owns the club and the bootlicking freak who is the president of baseball operations. Hopefully Sandy is traded away from that cancer of a baseball team.

14. If the Braves lose a series vs this team im going to be very disappointed but its baseball so w.e. Ozuna like to go down to Miami to heat up his bat so hopefully the rest of the Braves follow suit.

15. Lifelong marlins fan. Yes this is a rebuild, but we’re closer to improvement than most think. Bendix has completely rehauled the farm, that doesn’t happen for free. Our pitching is our strength and we have several coming down the pipe. Like you said infield is interesting. I think this is a developmental season and if we show some potential, they may make some adds next season and like y’all said then they’re a punchy marlins team. Thanks for the fair take on this boys, a lot of people hate of the fish because it’s easy to do. Y’all gave a fair analysis.

17. MLB owners who treat their franchise as strictly a business asset should be punished. The marlins current ownership doesn’t even pretend to want to invest in the product on the field and it’s a shame because baseball would thrive in South Florida with an owner who actually cared about winning.
