1. The title sounds at bit disingenuous. It's not like Jon Allen, out of the blue, request to be traded.
   I took from Peters, Jon was told, the team is looking to move on and would permit him and his agent exploring trade opportunities.

14. I think it’s great for both parties. Jonathan has been through a lot of dark years in Washington and he didn’t hide his feelings. I think he lost heart for this team and possibly the sport. This last season was an amazing surprise for everyone and rejuvenated the city. But I think for Allen, it was too little too late. I think he wants a fresh start. And Washington wants more productivity per dollar for that position. I appreciate all of the grind he’s done for this team and wish him luck. Hopefully we can include him in a great trade that benefits both.

15. Commanders wanted to reconstruct his contract and Allen didn’t want too. Allen wanted an extension. Both parties agreed to him finding a deal with another team and granted him to make that deal

    Basically they are allowing Allen to do their work which is plan B and Allen is seeking what he wants

    I think it was a 2 year extension but he would be making less than 12 mil a year
