  1. My dad (a Detroit fan šŸ™„) said the Leafs should have a slogan; ā€˜a losing tradition for almost 60 years’

Sucks that I can’t really argue with that and wonder, at 47, if I’ll see a a Stanley Cup in Toronto in my lifetime. I’m very much doubting I will. šŸ˜’

  2. Hey, been watching your breakdowns for a solid 5-6 months now. Really appreciate the recaps. Games aren't super viewable in Finland this year, so it's great to stay tuned in with your weekly recaps and spotlights.

There's ONE thing that is really annoying and would be easy to improve: Your audio levels could be more uniform. Your volumes spike every now and then really aggressively (consistently from video to video), which really impacts viewing comfort.

Anyway thanks for the great content, hope the feedback is valued, dug out my phone to comment, cause I enjoy the videos, and wish all the best for your content creation!

  3. If they make it to the third round and make it competitive, they absolutely need to to break up the core. They have the money to keep Marner and Taveras but oh my god how many times do they think this will work? The mix just doesn’t work and this year has to be the last straw. Having a group this talented that can’t win over and over again is like torture to the fanbase

  4. The issue with analyzing the Leafs and any potential playoff run is that they have abundant offensive talent and (finally) decent goaltending. If they won the cup or just went to the finals, you could say, well, they have elite forwards and good goaltending (assuming Stolarz got hot). It wouldn't be inconceivable. Stolarz is a better goalie than Anti Niemi when Chicago won the cup. However, if the Leafs lose again, it would also be easy (easIER) to just say, defence not good enough, the stars didn't show up. which has been said many times before. The problem is, that would be pretty much an explanation for ANY team that didn't go to the finals. But the Leafs will hear about it the LOUDEST.

  5. Shanahan and Treliving enjoy being overpayed , Berube playing Domi in overtime also does not help ,if Leafs want to go anywhere they have to try to get rid of Reilly’s contract and Domi

  6. "…And if history repeats itself once again, their could be massive changes in Leaf land at the end of the season."

I've heard this exact line for the last 4 years. I'll believe it when i see it

  7. I wonder what it would be like to take the roster and place them in a different city. How much of the bad play is caused from pressure of the outside noise? It has to have some kind of negative affect, right?

  8. What you said is true about my team but I think that we have to be careful when it comes to trades because of the horrible asset management of the previous GM. Hopefully the players do it in the playoffs

  9. The Jets and Leafs are both teams that… until they make the 3rd round, nobody outside their fanbases, will ever care how good they're doing in the regular season. We all (fans of the other 30 teams) doubt either will go far. That said, there's a lot of annoying leaf's fans, so it's funny to see them lose every year in the first round (with a few exceptions.)

If the Jets go far, I'll be happy for them. Watching them fail every year draws a little pity from me. I'm a sens fan, so to be fair my team has been ass for years, but at least we've never been known for getting to the playoffs just to fall apart year after year.

Historically we've done well as underdogs, so if (giant ifffff) we make the playoffs this year, I wouldn't be surprised if they went 2 or 3 rounds before bouncing out. But chances are, the sens will miss the playoffs by 1 or 2 points, the leafs will bounce in the first round, and the Oilers or VGK will will win it all with some help from the zebras.

I'd love to see a CBJ vs Wild Stanley cup finals….. two teams I'm rather indifferent on, but what a story that would make.
