THE NHL IS SHOOK (again)

Allllllrighty a second Rantanen trade has hit the news cycle Mr.Eck! That’s right! Mikko Rantanen has been traded now a second time from the Carolina Hurricanes to the Dallas Stars with Logan Stanko going the other way with some picks. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. IN NILL WE TRUST! Seriously though, as a Stars fan I am beyond excited. Absolutely loved Stankoven and will miss him but he will do great things with the Canes. The time to win is NOW! Go Stars!

  2. Now let’s see those numbers without playing next to MacK. Oh ya that’s right, 3 or 4 points in 15+ games. Let’s see what kind of numbers he does being next to douche-ayne. Mikko Kinda overrated now if you ask me idk 🤷‍♂️
Maybe he will actually put in more than 50% effort every night since he won’t be carried by the 2 best players in the world anymore.

  3. I lived in North Carolina and not surprised neither Necas or Rantanen didn't sign–some of the dumbest people in the universe live there. You are not factoring in the fact that there are no state income taxes in Texas–so he will be making more than he did in leftist Colorado or NC

  4. Was he too greedy with Avs or was he pushed off from the team. Because if he wasnt greedy then i just dont see why anyone would say no thank you to 11.75 and playing with mckinnon and makar…. make this stuff make sense. At least he gets more support now in Stars than what he got in Canes.

  5. I don't fully understand why the Hurricanes were so hung up on signing Mikko or not. Aren't they in win now mode? They could've used the deadline to get more pieces and go all-in for a Cup push with Mikko, contract or not. I understand getting a return on him for a haul but why worry about the future when you're in it to win it now?

  6. Well that's embarrassing for Carolina and signs of a much bigger issue that will lead to huge problems in the future.. not so much the trade but the fact that players just don't want to stay in Carolina. Brett Pesce willingly left when they wanted to resign him as well. Something about Carolina just makes players want to leave which is kind of weird because they seem to be a pretty solid and skilled team. So why is it that no Superstar players want to go to Carolina? And when they get sent to Carolina they can't get out of there fast enough lol.

  7. Guentzel was willing to extend with Carolina, but last we didn’t have the cap space to pay him what Tampa could; we’d have had to gut the team even more than we already did. He played great for us in the playoffs, but we fell short in a few crucial games. This year we have serious space to play with (and now also picks), plus our ready prospects are expected to be awesome.

  8. Canes have always valued guys like roslavic, Robinson, hall (jarvis, Martinook, staal).

Necas was fast and skilled. It's not like the canes or Necas didnt like each other, but if you have a team like the avalanche he just fits there so much better. I'd love to see him as one of the best players in the league and wouldn't be mad that we let him go, as most of the time he struggled in Carolina besides his amazing start this year (we he quickly fell down from).
