Losing ek will hurt but jones will get some reps with forsling which will likely be a preview of next seasons pairing if ek doesnt resign. And the whole "struggling" bit has everyone scratching their heads. How tf is a team on a 6 game heater allowing 1 goal in the last 4 struggling?

I think the Panthers are pulling a golden knight style coup at the trade deadline by putting Tkchuk of long term injury reserve unti a day before the playoffs (aka Mark Stone). As a result extra money at the deadline to lavishly spend on upgrades.

    Seth Jones will cover Ekblads spotand they will as a unit probably have to do a bit more, but also keep in mind he’s on the back stretch of his career not in the middle of his prime… and Tkatchuk will be there sometime in the postseason….
