   – OR PERHAPS PLAYERS INTENTIONALLY SABOTAGING COHESION IE Some CONFLICT Not OUT IN OPEN . UNDERMINING HEAD COACH DIRECTIONS .

16. At this point, would it hurt to just roll all 4 lines all game for the next 3 or 4 games in a row regardless of the score in each game?. Get these guys some ice time, get them moving and engaged, perhaps it will result a couple of ugly goals and give the bottom 6 some more confidence which will rub off on the rest of team. I'm tired of the only answer being to put out Drai and McDavid together and double-shift them as a solution to a deeper problem.

21. Idea for you next season: grade the performance of the team each game on your own deserve-to-win scale. The Oilers won a lot of games this season where they eaked out a win and often didn't deserve to win.

    A histogram of this kind of evaluation from this season would probably show that the more expected game outcomes is now surfacing.

22. The Oilers are a skilled team that’s old & slower & doesn’t have much physical strength & has average goaltending. That’s their identity. An old slower skill team.

    Btw… I’ve noticed the Oilers play with as much excitement & enthusiasm as their coach speaks with. The team’s dullness is becoming their style. Drab hockey that’s not even fun to watch even if they win. Same style hockey the Islanders play. I call it nap time hockey because it’s ez to sleep to.

23. This team defensively has been brutal to watch. They don’t check, they watch the other team skate in our zone and they don’t pinch the opposing players, they just let them skate around. No wonder Stu looks defeated. Knob needs to keep the line ups consistent, you can see there is no chemistry within the line ups. I don’t see a cup this year

25. Nuge and Hyman have been non-existent this season. What happened to the team that were 1 game away from winning the Stanley Cup? Were Holloway and Foegele that important to to the team? Seems like the team just doesn't care right now.

26. Things do literally suck for the Oilers at the moment. This game is a watershed moment. Unless we win with at least 2 goals, I think there is no coming back from that. A win is an absolute must, as is the first goal.

27. If we lose to Lou and his basement dwelling islanders I have lost all hope for Edmonton. If you want a positive prediction 2-1 for oilers but we all know it will be 3-2 for islanders.

I know that the team was not playing a perfect hockey before the 4-Nation tournament break but hey… they were the Division leaders, Stu was playing as a solid & reliable goalie, etc. Therefore… What the hell is happening now? They have even a couple of good additional players in the roster (Walman and Jones)! It seems that the Oilers can only have hot and cold streaks, one after another… Why can't they be more solid?

    greets from Germany. The Oilers just need your passion and dedication and they would steamroll every opposing team 😂 > great channel!!
    Honestly you got the point with identity, I would go further and underline that the Oilers just work their game, but they aren't playing hockey. It's still a game, just on a professional level, but where is their fun at the game. They look sour and in my opinion they need a mental trainer and an headcoach instilling fighting spirit in the whole squad. I wrote the Oilers to their pm-adress to try with music in their lockerroom before the game starts > "Whatever it takes" from the Hollywood Undead on full throttle to shake the players up. What do you think what happens? Right > no response!! 😂 I have no clue considering the game result but I know the statement from Knob:
    "the result was due to missing bits and parts here and there and we have to stay strong and confident bla bla bla".
