Dallas Man went to City Hall to complain about the Luka trade

  1. This guy again… wasn’t he the one yelling on some news segment and went on the news too?

  2. The main point isn’t even the trade, but the gambling bill. Not that I’d expect people here to watch the actual video.

  3. “They don’t want to move to Vegas, they want to move Vegas here “ 😮‍💨🔥

  4. Dude wanted to use the Doncic trade as a reference point for the nefarious nature of the Adelson family.

Unfortunately, dude probably doesn’t realise media literacy is at an all time low, so here is a post where a bunch of people think he went to City Hall to complain about the Doncic trade

  5. Yall are saying let it go, the main point isnt rescinding the trade or firing Nico it’s to fight against legalizing gambling. Atleast watch the video before complaining.

  6. Proud of this man, that took a lot of courage to go there and stand up for what is right in a world full of lying worthless filth that only cares about cash and not the irreparable harm that way of life causes the majority to suffer

  7. As someone living in a state that legalized sports gambling.

    Fuck sports gamblings and casinos

  8. Another example of redditors reading the title and quickly rushing to comment than actually fucking digesting the contents of what’s being discussed

  9. We don’t need gambling in DFW. We’ve all been perfectly fine to drive to Winstar or Choctaw for decades. Hell some of the old farts even drive way up to Miami.

We need some goddamned green spaces. I mean shit turn that area into a massive park with a big amphitheater and shit. I don’t understand why almost every single new thing in DFW has to be brought here to extract as much money as possible from the citizens they’ve turned into mass consumerists.

  10. For context since not everyone is intimately familiar with the ins and outs of the situation and apparently (if the downvoted comments are anything to go by) not everyone can even be bothered to watch this short clip, this is here in Irving (part of the DFW area and very close to Dallas but not Dallas proper), where the Adelsons own land that is where they plan to build the new casino/Mavs arena; he’s using the Luka issue to draw support and catch people’s attention but what he’s really driving at is that he wants the Irving city council to not approve the rezoning of that land to allow for gambling. It seems like it’s going to happen anyways despite tons of local opposition but the real hurdle is going to be getting gambling legalized in Texas, which is doubtful in the next couple of years since it has to pass a vote in the state legislature but the lieutenant governor, who is in charge of presenting bills to be voted on, is staunchly against it and believes it to be a waste of time to bring before the legislature.

  11. Bro is actually cooking lol… I thought it’s just gonna be comedy but he made a good speech

  12. Hey, could you please change the title to better reflect the bulk of this man’s argument?

  13. He makes very good points. Gambling should not be legal and it is part of the homelessness issue.
