JB Bickerstaff is heated about officiating postgame, even slamming his desk: “I’m disgusted by the way that game was officiated, the level of disrespect was above and beyond. The disrespect has gone far enough, and I’m not gonna allow our guys to be treated the way that they were treated tonight.”

  15. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many technical fouls over something that innocuous. It doesn’t benefit anyone but the ref’s ego.

    Edit: I wanted to make an edit. The techs benefit the Thunder in that they get points, so that was a poor choice of words. What I was trying to say was that I think everyone would rather just play the game. This kind of reaction by the refs just makes a bigger mess of things, and it robs the fans of great games. Sorry if my initial comment felt like an incorrect assessment.

  22. FUCK YEAH JB, TELL EM. Silver needs to do something. The refs get worse every year and have over inflated egos to the point where any emotion shown on the floor feels like an affront to them. ITS NOT ABOUT YOU. GET OUT OF THE WAY. One of the dumbest things this league ever did was put a microphone and camera in front of refs who review calls. They think they’re celebrities now. They need to be humbled.

  23. Love that he mentions we do play a more physical brand of ball but still doesn’t explain why get called for shit that literally won’t even be our fault or another team will do the exact same thing (against us) and not receive a thing.

    I doubt anything will come from this other than JB getting fined.

    NBA will complain about viewership but doesn’t want to take any steps to actually fix it. Refs going on ego trips is part of why many aren’t watching games as much.
