  1. It was even funnier the 2nd time they touched the puck before it hit their own net.

  2. Great win by our boys! Our first ‘goal’ of the preseason was an own goal on a delayed penalty, so I find this hilarious

Nice recovery from that game in Edmonton

  3. Real talk though. If Cole could stop taking some of the dumbest penalties on the planet, that would be nice.

  4. They don’t ask how, they ask how many.

This was a real ugly game. There’s no getting around it. But hey, a win is a win. Especially when you play a bad game but don’t suffer the 0 points consequence. Our guys know that wasn’t a game to be proud of (Veggie excluded), we all know it too. After the devastating loss against the oilers I figured the boys would put the smack down on buffalo and show who they are. I was pretty frustrated with the effort most of the game, they looked like month one UHC, not post all star break UHC. I was scratching my head at why this was the case, and I have at least a conclusion that makes sense in my brain.

We have a young team, 2nd youngest in the league. Majority of this roster has not played meaningful hockey in March. Nearly all of this roster has never had to play PERFECT hockey in March. We are at the point in the standings and seasons, where it will take a winning streak to end out the season to get extra hockey in April. I’d bet this weighs on our guys like nothing else! Every shift has to be perfect, every save must be perfect, every shot must be perfect. With no room for error and a light at the end of the tunnel, the boys might just be running on fumes. Tonight I think you could see evidence of that. Lotta sloppy passes, leaving the puck behind on a move, careless penalties. It wasn’t pretty, but thankfully we could get by against the Sabres.

I think this game can either show the beginning of the end or the beginning of the start of an all out sprint! I hope it’s the latter. I’ll cheer for the latter! I believe in the latter!!

So let’s rest up and get ready to club the lightning! I want Sergy to drop some points on those suckers!

We’re still here, and we aren’t going away!

    #We are coming

  5. Ya know… it was stressful and frustrating for like 57 minutes. But after having so many games this year being the better team but still taking an L due to a bad bounce or a stupid mistake this year I’ll take a scrappy win on some good bounces and some dumb luck for once.

  6. I’m real sick of other wild card teams playing each other and going to overtime!
