  1. Two worlds colliding here and I’m here for it! Steve is absolutely hilarious and his passion is contagious even from a sharks fans perspective, and Brody back working for SJ… what’s not to love about that. Great interview boys! With the Sharks not currently in the playoff picture I’ve found myself cheering the leafs on so love it.

  2. Cool interview!
And thank God La Vic reverted back to their original orange sauce recipe.

It tastes like it should again!

(It was awfully inconsistent and weird tasting for a few years)

  3. Loved those Death Valley Days. Jumbo v Kopitar vs Getzlaf. Big boy hockey at its finest. As for rebuilds, 5 years is about right. Clock started with the Burns trade or the Timo trade. Two more drafts, this season and next. That's it.

  4. brodie brazil has been killing it since getting hired on by the organization. first the hockey guy now steve dangle, keep the interviews coming bro. San Jose broadcast crew getting the respect they deserve🙏

  5. Steve/Brody, Great to see you guys sit down for an interview. Before I get into the bulk of my comment, I've got to answer Brody's question: why do you think it is that people like to watch you?

    Steve, I'll take this one.

Brody, we love to watch Steve, because he screams a lot. As he says, it makes us feel normal, because screaming at a hockey game is probably not normal…

And now, the rest of the story:

I was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario in 1960 and watched the Maple Leafs win their last Stanley cup in 1967 with my father. I don't remember any of the game, but my father, who was not a pleasant man, was the happiest I had ever seen him in my 7 years on the planet…

I moved to San Jose, California in 1988 to pursue a high-tech career in silicon valley and spent the next 30 years there. I became a huge Sharks fan while remaining a leaf's fan, deep down.

I now live in downtown Toronto, and Toronto is my team, once again. I'm a 10-minute walk from the Scotiabank arena…

In any case, this long wind-up is all to say that Brody was my favorite of the Sharks commentator/color guy when I was living in San Jose and Steve is the favorite of my Leaf's podcasters now that I'm back in Toronto.

It's great to see my two favorites together!
