[Mike Reiss] Quick-hit thoughts/notes around the Patriots and NFL (Stefon Diggs’ potential impact on offense; contract protects NE; Ja’Lynn Polk’s pic of Kobe; Mike Vrabel mentions Keion White; Will Campbell arm-length follow-up; Patriots Hall of Fame meeting etc.).

  1. What a stupid take on Campbell lmao he wasn’t the only dude who measured below pro day measures so it’s still a full inch behind Membou and his wingspan is still awful as well

  2. It’s worth noting that a bulk of the Patriots reported visits thus far are with guys in that late second to third round zone.

The prospects we’ve met with in the late second to late third range are as follows: Jeffrey Bassa, Aireontae Ersery, Ollie Gordon, Dylan Sampson, Kyle Kennard, Nick Martin, and Oluwafemi Oladejo.

  3. If Hunter and Carter aren’t there, I’ve been of the mind to trade back and gather assets if possible. I’ve been anti Campbell. The more I read about Campbell though…idk, if he is a legit left tackle in the NFL for a bunch of years, that’s worth the draft capital to me. I can’t say with confidence whether the wingspan thing will be a huge issue. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. His tape seems very impressive against good competition.
