560 insane people spotted in the wild

  1. Crazy. Crosby is a top 5 PLAYER of all time, could argue lower. Rodgers is maybe a top 25 QB not even player. lol

  2. Yeah it’s Crosby and it isn’t close. Also, Kyle Hamilton for 2022? Really?

  3. Also, Micah Parsons isn’t even the best player from the NFL draft in 2021, let alone all 4 drafts.

  4. The comments shooting down the Rodgers take, and ratio’ing it at that, warms my penguins loving heart.

  5. Rodgers never made the people around him better. His best years in Green Bay had some fantastic position players with him and they were a great team.

Sidney Crosby got Colby Armstrong to a 34pt season.

Thank you for coming to my TedTalk

  6. OP, this had me so heated I went to Instagram to check it out.

The first reply to that comment is “no shot” and it has 1,494 likes and the one after that lists many of Sid’s accomplishments and has 903 likes.

So I guess I don’t need to go argue under a week old post.

  7. My brother in Christ I can’t tell you how wrong you are lmao. Crosby GOAT, Rodgers is JUST good

  8. LOL I was looking for Brady and I was like WTF which clown got put ahead of Brady until I got to the very end and I was like RIGHT this man is ANCIENT lol

  9. 3 championships and gold medals versus 1 championship and a whole lot of bitchin? Yeah… not close

  10. I personally think Rodgers is top 5-7 all time when you include his passing efficiency, but Sid is comfortably top 5 for me. Any tie breaking would rely on championships, so Sid wins easily. Totally predictable that non-hockey fans wouldn’t get it.

  11. Are you that dumb to say Rodgers over Crosby ? Crosby has won 3 Stanley cups , trophies , world juniors , world championship etc so not even close e

  12. I’m a Rodgers fan but that guy is an idiot if he thinks Rodgers is better than Crosby in their respective sports. They both have insane raw skill but Crosby was/is MUCH more successful (both individually and team) and much more reliable when it mattered most.

I do have to say though, GB never drafting a WR for him in the first round was just atrocious. Crosby had more help around him during those peak years and basically no help the past few years.

  13. Bullshitese:

    >Crosby over Rodgers? Yeah Crosby is a hof but Rodgers is easily the best from 05

    English:

    >Crosby over Rodgers? Sure Crosby’s won 3 Cups, been to 4, competes in the more physically demanding and high event sport and has won a fuck of a lot more with infinitely less around him than Aaron, but Rodgers is funny diva meme guy on Colts Punter Show and won MVP in 3 obscenely weak years!

Seriously though, nobody from ’05 even grazes Sid. About as close as any other Big 4 draftees got was Aaron, the Pirates got Cutch that year and Chris Paul went on to play 1300 games as a pretty good player, and of those three, Aaron and Cutch are low-mid end franchise players. Which is incredible in its own right, but football didn’t live and die by Aaron.

Baseball didn’t live and die by Cutch. Basketball certainly didn’t live and die by Chris Paul. But there is a period of time, some will say 3-5 years, I say it’s more like 10-12 years, where the National Hockey League *as we know it*, LLLLLIVED, and DIIIIIIIED by two, just two young men.

Their names were Alexander Ovechkin, the Russian Rocket, the Great 8, Alexander the Great, however you want to address the man– no, however he DEMANDS we address him, because that’s the kind of player he is.

And then somehow, there’s a Planck Length of space just above him in importance. You know who fills that space? The Kid. Sidney. Sidney mf Crosby, we call him many things here, some call him the GOAT, some call him their team’s arch nemesis, I call him the guy who did NOT in fact pass any torches, batons or anything therein to Claude Giroux in 2012.

But hockey as we know it, exists because those two men, with their dedication, their skill, and their talent and their DRIVE, took it upon themselves to say “this sport is our’s and we’re gonna drag it somewhere better than where Gary Bettman is taking it”.

Okay, when Joe Sakic, Mario Lemieux and fuckin whoever else, Steve Yzerman, when they were like “fuck, do my PCLs even work anymore?” Sidney Crosby came out of the 2005 Draft and said “that’s fine, I’m Sidney Crosby, I’ll do it. Because I’m Sidney Crosby, and there are 599 active players in the NHL that are not Sidney Crosby, so since I’m Sidney Crosby, I’ll do it.”

Who in the other drafts did that? Hm? Name one? Aaron Rodgers? In one playoff run with a defense that played balls out out of nowhere? “Oh but he was Super Bowl MVP” yeah? Against a late stage Dick LeBeau defense, whoopdie do, you beat a Mike Tomlin team in the playoffs, you and Blake Bortles both jagoff.

Demarcus Ware? Derrick Johnson? Your best case outside of Aaron is Thomas Davis, great linebacker? Totally. Sidney Crosby? Uh hell no.

And the MLB and NBA don’t even make a case. Cutch and Paul respectively are as close a comparison you can make and they just don’t compare and, in fact, I think the Habs made away similarly well with Carey Price. Rodgers’ Super Bowl might *just* put him in 2nd, but if we’re being honest, Price did a lot more with a lot less.

Aaron did what he did with Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, all kinds of great pass catchers (and blockers). The best players Price ever had around him were Subban for a handful of years in his peak, Paccioretty back when he and Plekanec were playing at their absolute limit, and outside of them it was random flashes of guys like Gallagher, Danault, Tatar, Galchenyuk and to be fair, Shea Weber.

Aaron Rodgers had multiple future hall of famers around him *nearly* every year of his career in Green Bay, Carey Price had Canada’s posterchild boysclub who pissed off nearly every free agent they came across and backstopped teams that, as shown in 2015-16 and 2018-19, fell APART without him.

If not for Sidney Crosby, that commenter is STILL out of his mind, because Carey Price went 4 picks later! Poor buddy didn’t know what he was SAYING 😭
