SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – We are just under five months away from the kickoff of the football season, which means Notre Dame football players have a ways to go before game action.
But that’s not the case for Jordan Faison.
As we all know, Faison has been a receiver for the Irish for the past two seasons and has also played on Notre Dame’s lacrosse team. This has created an interesting situation for him between balancing the two sports because while they have different seasons, college sports require year-round work
This year, he’s doing more football offseason practice during lacrosse season, and he talked about how he’s been able to do that.
“The coaches in each sports have taken care of me. They built a schedule for me that allows me to do both and just taking it and running with it,” Faison says. “You come in nervous, coming in as a young guy. But then you make plays with the ball in your hands and you calm down and find your game. When the ball keeps finding you, you find your groove and the confidence builds and you just got to keep it rolling because confidence is pretty big in this game.”
Spring ball will culminate with the annual Blue-Gold Game, which will take place on Saturday, April 12, at Notre Dame Stadium.
