  1. I would say don't ban them, the batter still has to hit the ball and when pitchers are throwing heat, it makes sense if someone dings it for home run with the bat since the batter still has to make contact, even then, unless there is some special compound mixed into the wood other than that solid wood for solid hits.

  2. The physics behind what makes the torpedo bats useful is very similar to why people would choke up. I really don't understand why people have been making such a big deal about them. I feel like most of the people talking about them just saw the Yankees put up 20 runs in a game and don't even know what's different about the bats.

  3. Pro sports love offense. High offensive output makes sports leauges more money. The bats can be used by all teams. If the bats are more productive for batting and a team decideds to handicap themselves by not using them, it doesnt make them an unfair advantage. It would be like a team not using gloves, then claiming that the other team using globes had an unfair advantage.

  4. Last year nobody cared about baseball and now there is more scoring and these new bats are making waves everyone wants to see what up. I say keep em

  5. These in no way interfere with baseball integrity it is simply a different type of bat for hitters who tend to struggle with traditional barrel contact points, instead regularly contact the ball closer to hands.

MLB will not ban these bats because they meet all MLB bat specs, but also because the MLB under Manfred is always desperate for more offense!!! Aka the ever changing and juiced baseball types that fly further all by his design. (There is a reason I think something like 6/10 of the most overall HR’s in a season happened in 2019. LOL)

  6. If these bats somehow ruin the integrity of the game, then why wouldn’t letting pitchers go to the pitching lab ruin the integrity of the game? If they get rid of them, it would be stupid, more offense is a good thing for the spectator
