This is true
Agreed. Jimmy and Steph both have rough games and the Rockets still canāt pull away. They canāt get through a best of 7 series against these warriors
Objectively, this sucks.
But we’ll give Chef a pass, the man gave the dubs plenty of entertainment and 4 chips.
If only they would got their couple layups(not even threes), game wouldāve gone different. But even with this type of game, while I was in the shower I got the same idea. Even with this 3pt game, we almost won a gameššš³
This rockets team will get cooked in the playoffs if they face warriors thatās for sure
Lakers fan here, do you guys trust Podz to show up in the playoffs? After seeing what he did to us makes me wonder but I donāt watch enough warriors basketball
Houston really doesnāt want us
Absolutely. I think we beat them earlier this year while resting Steph and Dray so Iām not worried.
Steph passed Reggie in all time scoring and decided to call it a night.
The Warriors would probably win a series, but thinking it could be a sweep is delusional. Steph had a bad game because of how much pressure they put on him, it wasnāt a random bad shooting game⦠The combination of Amen/Brooks/Udoka is very scary. If the warriors win the series, itās because Podz/Hield/JK step up while Steph is in hell
The refs got the win yesterday
If we want to win, we need Steph, and that means when teams play illegal defense he needs to fucking exaggerate contact so refs can call fouls. Flopping or not, Houston just gave the Western Conference an easy blueprint on beating us through the officials.
I do not fear the rockets at all
Yep, I guess too much rest threw off the rhythmš¤¦š½āāļø. Curry (24)+ Moody (10) didnāt score close to their average, so I totally agree. Even just a few more points from Dray (9) & JK (14) would help, but they all scored in single digits and just too many turnovers. And QP, need to get that man some more shots up esp if Curry is not on, with QPās shooting Iām confused why he only had 1 shot the whole game š¤·š½āāļø
Thatās true but can you imagine how tired Steph could be after that series?Ā
Amen Thompson is a menace bro, heās gonna be annoying my teams for a long timeĀ
Remainder To Butler Isnāt Even in Playoffs Takeover Mode so adding that with Curry In the playoffs would mean Rockets Cant Just Focus on Curry and double team/ Hard Fouls him like they were doing yesterday , So I Think we could take the Inexperienced Playoffs Rockets team (besides FVV) in 5 games Or even A Sweep (Hot Take).
For me itās less about curry and more about butter I do think the rockets could hold curry to rough averages maybe even like 18-20 points but I absolutely believe butler will be able to go to work if the rockets try to use that game plan for a whole series
Yeah all our starters except Podz had rough games last night. But I think our new Death Lineup is still what 15-1 or 16-1 as a starting 5?
We didnāt even shoot well from the line, only 6-11. Obviously a lot of that is due to the aboutā¦..30 uncalled Rockets team fouls? But even with all that, our offense was still getting WIDE open looks, guys just werenāt knocking them down. We missed like 5 completely open 3s in a row at one point, plus several easy layups. Make 3-4 more of those easy shots, hit a few more FTs, prevent a few more Rockets offensive rebounds and we still manage to pull out a close win. Despite the 10 point final score, the INSANE holding on Steph and the flagrant on Dray, we were still very much in the game.
Still a frustrating setback, but we have a chance to get to 50 freaking wins this year! Who would have called that 2 months ago? š
Depends on how itās officiated. If itās like yesterday, then we get swept.
The issue wasn’t Steph in that first half. Everyone got all the good looks they could handle, but they sputtered.
When the roster routinely buckles under ideal 4v3 or 4v4-conditions you don’t blame the guy creating those opportunities.
In the second half it was pretty clear no one had it in them in that particular game to take advantage, so Curry started pressing. That means he tries to convert awful looks time and time again, which works sometimes – others not.
The fanbase being used to Curry having unreal shotmaking to make up for the roster having an awful offensive floor doesn’t make it normal to expect it in 5 games in a row.
Yeah, this was a good confidence boost IMO. Should this be a first round matchup they now know what they need to do and the physicality Houston will play with
NBA really fucked us with 3 games in 4 days against top 4 teams. They guys had to be running on fumes. Now we get to play 3 more in the next 4 days.
I think we are underestimating how hard it is to win on the road – especially in the Playoffs
In regard to tonight’s game, Draymond is such a special player on the D side of the ball but he is killing us on the Off side
– His inability to do ANYTHING is allowing teams to double Curry and at times, Jimmy
– 23% from three the last 10 games and 36% overall ….. that number is weak if you are guard much less a forward
– And his TO’s, Tonight 4 assist vs 4 TOs….. and in the last 10 games, averaging 4 TO’s a game vs 5 Asst
– And the foul at the end of the half……. just stupid

Definitely agree.
That being said, Ime is the best defensive coach in the NBA. He is elite. They were 28 out of 30 for points allowed, then he joined, first season they were14th in points allowed, now down to 5th in his 2nd season.
But he should have learned his lesson not to mess with Curry.
Despite the rough shooting night Steph had the highest plus minus of all the starters, if teams are selling out to stop Curry the other guys have to eat. Buddy did great and hopefully thatās a sign of things to come in the playoffs.
If the refs let them.
If this is how they want to guard Steph, Steve just needs to communicate to Jimmy that he should go nuclear
This loss meant nothing to me. Warriors would wipe the floor with the Rockets if they meet in the playoffs.
