MacKinnon’s MVP Bid vs. Makar’s Norris Pursuit — Who Has The Better Shot?

  1. Makar is -2500 for the Norris on DK
    Mac is +500 for Hart

There’s your answer. Cale pretty much has the Norris wrapped up and Mac needs a miracle for the Hart.

  2. Really I never understand why Bednar never gets mentioned for the Adams. Like, argue about if he should win it or not but he’s never even in the conversation

  3. MacSakic should also be in the Jim Gregory Award conversation as well. Not only for the times they’ve been snubbed over the years, but they did an entire retool in one year with very limited assets and a very uncertain cap situation.

They never get their recognition for the perennial contender they’ve built

  4. After Mack’s cool down his Hart shot is pretty much completely gone, I’m gonna be pretty sad if he loses out on another Ross to Kuch though. Kuch has been on a tear lately, MacK is gonna need 1 or 2 big nights out of the last couple games to keep it out of reach with the way Kuch has been playing

Obviously at the end of the day all that really matters is a Cup, but I love to see the boys pick up some extra hardware on the way if they can.

  5. Mack has some very strong competition. Makar has the Norris locked up.

  6. Werenski would have to get like 20 points and have the gwg in every remaining game while Makar would have to just start putting slapshots into his own net to lose the Norris race at this point. I don’t totally know why MacKinnon is notably less likely to win than Draisaitl.

  7. IDC about those ones so much, how about we get one of em a Conn Smythe though.

  8. MacKinnon, you could definitely argue Draisaitl is the best player on the Oilers this year and is keeping that team afloat

I don’t think anybody could realistically argue against Makar for Norris at this point

  9. Makar could probably spend the rest of the regular season just firing pucks at his own net and still win the Norris.

  10. Cale 100%. Nate has real competition for the Hart, plus “It’s someone else’s turn”. Cale, at this point, really is running away with it.
