Back to the Future for the New York Rangers NEXT COACH!

It’s more likely that New York Rangers and Peter Laviolette are heading for a split. After leading the Rangers to a President’s Trophy and close to a Stanley Cup Finals trip, Laviolette’s successor has yet to be named. Could New York Rangers GM Chris Drury turn to his old coach, John Tortorella, or a former BU Alum Penguins Coach Mike Sullivan, or Boston University’s current coach Jay Pandolfo, Bruce Boudreau or even former Rangers’ Captain Mark Messier? Would the Rangers make the switch and which coaches make sense? We break down some choices!

  3. One thing for certain…. The NYR organization is clueless when it comes to hiring coaches…. Sullican wasn't good enough… Knoblauch wasn't good enough.

  4. Torts . Ehhh.. The players never like him . These guys are too soft these days to have a coach like Torts ..To worried about their wigs getting messed up

Islanders fired Lou before the rangers firing Chris drury shows you Dolan looking the other way while this circus continues the fact that Lavi doesn’t care anymore should tell every Ranger fan it’s far from a coaching problem once he gets fired this is gonna be coach number five on the hire if Drury somehow sticks around😂

  9. The number one priority for the Rangers now is to extend Cuylle before he gets any offer sheets from other teams . They absolutely cannot lose this guy for a second round draft pick compensation.

  11. and NO to Torts, I just threw up in my mouth at the thought. Keep Lav for another year with a new GM. Time for kreids and Mika to go. Torts doesnt help offensive guys, Laffy Othman, Berard, etc will struggle under Torts.

  13. The Rangers as they're stacked couldn't beat most AHL teams right now…. They should've allowed Shesterkin to challenge them salary wise… He's good, but he can show you how real he can be, proof is what happened to him this season…. This team DOES NOT play defense at all…. After the millions he signed for… it looks embarrassing.

  14. I don't care how much he wins or who he will bench, this guys is nothing but a KING SIZE SORE LOSSER and been that way his whole career. He has no respect for anyone when he losses so I have No respect for him at all
