  7. Great game, these guys needed one against a good team. Sale didn’t have it tonight and the boys picked him up and showed some fight. Time for a streak

  9. Notes from the Game:

    – NOT a Good Result for Chris Sale. He's Unable to Finish the 5th, Allowing 5 Runs on 9 Hits, Walking None and Striking Out 5. Despite this, he earns a No-Decision, keeping him at 0-1 with an ERA of 6.75. Just feels like his Fastball isn't as fast as I remember it, and Breaking Pitches just ain't breaking at the moment.

    + Thankfully, the Bullpen STEPPED UP in a BIG WAY! De Los Santos, Lee, Hernandez, and Iglesias Combined to NO-HIT the So-Called 'Fighting Phils' through the Remaining 4 1/3 Innings, Allowing just 3 Walks while Striking Out 4! Daysbel Hernandez gets his First Win of the Season, Putting Out a Fire in the 7th with JUST ONE PITCH, the Pitching a FIERY 8TH while recording 2 Ks! Iglesias gets his First Save of the Season, Pitching a SOLID 9th with his only blemish being a Bryce Harper Walk. AN EXCELLENT RESULT From the Pen!

    ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 5 Runs, 9 Hits, 3 Walks, 9 Strike Outs, 1 Home Run Allowed.

    3-13 with RISP, and 10 Men Left on Base… Yet this Braves' Team was RELENTLESS FROM START TO FINISH!

    + WELCOME BACK, SEAN MURPHY! AND MURPHY MASHED! 2-4 with a 3-Run SUPER MISSILE in the 2nd, and an RBI Single in the 6th! Fingers Crossed both this Performance, Combined with his New Shades, Will Lead to a HOT STREAK!

    + MONEY MIKE DOIN' THE BASICS! 1-3 with a Single, Sacrifice Bunt, and an RBI Sacrifice Fly! Harris Stands in with a .250 Average with an OPS of .652 through 10 Games!

    + AUSTIN 3:16 Is starting to find a Groove! 2-4 with TWO Doubles and an RBI! Riley holds onto a .175 Average with an OPS of .558!

    + PHILLY HATES HIM… BUT WE STILL LOVE 'EM! Arcia with a 1-3 Night with a Single, Walk, and DEMO-CHARGED HOME TO SCORE THE GAME-DECISIVE RUN ON A WILD PITCH IN THE 8TH! Arcia clings to a .188 Average with a .485 OPS!

    + OTHER NOTABLES: EVERY BRAVES' STARTER Recorded 1 Hit Tonight! Jarred Kelenic had a GREAT Night, going 1-1 with a Single, THREE WALKS, And Made a CRUCIAL DIVING CATCH IN THE 9TH! Albies, Ozuna, and Arcia were the Other Braves who recorded a Walk each.

    + ROUND 1 BELONGS TO THE BRAVOS! Sale wasn't good, but the Bullpen was IMPRESSIVE! Murphy STOLE THE SHOW, but it was A TEAM EFFORT LATE to EARN THIS WIN!

    + The Nationals and Mets WON their Respective Games, while the Marlins got MUGGED in Queens. This Puts the METS in 1st Place in the NL East, with the Braves Now 5 1/2 Back of New York, 5 Behind Philly, and 2 1/2 Behind BOTH Miami and Washington.

    TOMORROW:

    ROUND 2 OF 3 Between the Phillies and Braves will take place under the Evening Skies of Truist Park. Taijuan Walker will step up for the Phils, Who's coming off a LIGHTS-OUT Performance against the Rockies, Shutting them down over 6 Innings while Allowing just 3 Hits, a Walk, and a Hit Batter while Striking out 4.

    Meanwhile, GRANT HOLMES will take up Battle Stations for the Braves, who got SHELL-SHOCKED by the Dodgers, Allowing 4 Runs on 4 Hits, Walking 4 and Striking Out 3 in just Four Innings of Work.

    Can HOLMES and the Braves Claim their FIRST SERIES VICTORY VS. A BITTER DIVISIONAL RIVAL?

  20. Glad to see the Braves actually showing some emotion out there. They have been striking out and leaving runners stranded and just walk back to the dugout like oh well. This game was completely different. Get angry. We need it.
