Bristol, Tenn. (WCYB) — In Bluff City, two businesses The Pit Row Market and the Finish Line Diner these establishments are heavily preparing for the business rush of NASCAR fans.
This weekend drivers at the last great coliseum will start their engines.
And right now businesses near the track. Also starting preparation for a busy next few days.
Like the employees at Pit Row Market.
Mainly we’re getting beer ready, we’ve been doing that all week, also ice that’s the two main things cause race fans want their beer, said Pit Row Market Employee, Autumn Wheeler.
Right next door, Finish Line Diner stocking up their inventory.
We’re getting stocked up on all food items, biscuits and gravy, and plenty of hamburgers, said Finish Line Diner Waitress, Amber Booher.
Finish Line Diner waitress, Amber Booher has worked race weekend for the past 8 years and said business is always booming.
It gets very crazy, said Booher.
Near the speedway, vendor Jeff Strunk traveled all the way from Philly. He has worked the Bristol races for the past 3 years and told me he is excited to be here and sell his products.
Most of it is diecast, I do sell some action figures, and some model kits, said Vendor, Jeff Strunk.
And on the campgrounds, campers are settling in.
Jefferson City, Tennessee resident, Leonard Trujillo said he arrived in Bristol on Monday and is ready for all the action.
You hear the term it’s Bristol Baby, everyone becomes alive, the race is actually quick right here, said Camper, Leonard Trujillo.
The Spring NASCAR races kick off this Friday with the Weather Guard Truck Race and will continue with other races throughout the weekend.
